Hi All, Thanks for all the kind comments... Seedling 003 keeps changing its eyezone... all of them being very cool! First year to bloom, so I need to keep an eye on it over the next year. Seems like the hot weather made the eyezone more intense. Mike - I don't know how you make it! I was going out every day in MARCH... thinking, it is spring already... bloom dang you! :o) I bet they are building up their strength to put on a real show for you. Jacqueline - That Going Bananas is a monster bloomer. If you can ever get your hands on some, you should. Each clump has 10 scapes up at a time. 17 blooms today on three small clumps. Beautiful form, and the picture does not do the yellow color justice - is it super bright and clear. Stands out from the crowd! Missy - Little Blue Belle is right... sorry. Lrae, I took a chance on Earlene Garber... wasn't exactly sure how it would turn out... I could really only find one picture of it, but mine turned out just like the picture. The pink is kind of irridecent in real life, making the color really beautiful. Thanks Barb... been running around like mad in the mornings! Pictures, pollinating, collecting pollen...whew! Had a really nice weekend away in California - but glad to be back with my DL! :o) Barb... hmmm.... have to think of something! Weaknesses - wine, food (especially baked goods), daylilies! Glad you like seedling 003. Can't wait 'till it multiplies and makes a clump!

Well, this may surprise you but we are the ones who add those pictures on Tinkers. Not all of them of course but you will find that most of them came from our gardens. Unfortunately, I don't have any of the ones you mentioned but do have lots of my pictures on Tinks as do most of us...Ellie

I'm still waiting on my small orders of Blue Jay and heuchie Sweet Tart from Inthecountry and of Cameo and heuchie Ginger Snap from Casita Azul. Wah! I want my plants! There is no forecast of any frost for the next 2 weeks here in Queens, so I went ahead and did some tension-relieving buying annuals and planting them Friday before the Sabbath (yay, it starts much later now with going back to regular time!). I planted a beautiful coleus with burgundy, yellow and green with a bright yellow tuberous begonia (4/$10 annuals sale at Home Depot!) and a light purple calibrachoa in the blizzard white pot that is the background for the wire Garden Cat. I planted the remaining coleus plants along the border of the Neighbor's Plot, alternating with mixed pink/purple/yellow petunias and mixed pastel alyssum. I put in a couple 6-packs of fuschia, yellow, and lavender mini snapdragons in my main garden. Finally, I planted the sedum Angelina in the pockets of my big glazed strawberry pot and a nice purple-flowering Delosperma cooperii in the top of it. It's an experiment. I never put succulents in my strawberry pot before. Are they perennial? I saw today that the Darned Squirrels dug out 2 of my mini-snaps, they were laying out on the ground! Due to the restrictions of the Sabbath, I could not instantly replant them. I will do so on Sunday. We are supposed to get some overnight showers which will hopefully sustain the mini-snaps until I can replant them. And I PUT red pepper flakes, which nearly blinded ME, all around that garden when I planted stuff Friday. Argh!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Barb! look at all of those flowers! Those violets are pretty but they are a real pest here! spread like wiregrass! You really make me miss tulips too! (I knew winter was good for something!) Is that a trillium at the top! I can't remember the last time I saw a trillium!I am sorry to hear that Al has pain, I have suffered from hip/joint pain for several years, the doctors have told me the best treatment is 'keep moving' grrrr, sometimes it is very tough to do. Regina I am happy that you are getting some rain! (I hate to complain about water from the sky but it is still raining off and on here! The plants are loving it, but it sure makes it unpleasant outside (muggy, mosquitos and soggy) That Brug is beautiful! I can't wait till mine bloom, I have 3 potted and one in the ground, I just love those leaves! Even if they didn't have flowers My elephant ears hit the ground running too, all this water really perked them up. I cannot believe the size of the leaf on one of them (Is it my imagination or are those leafs still growing?!?!)
