Here's a few single blooms from photos taken yesterday...

most are ffo's.

AU is a huge double.

Coronal Light's FFO with a little slug damage. I fixed those slugs today though!! :)

Dancing With Julie's debut in my garden...newly planted.

I posted a clump shot of JJ in another thread, but here's a close up shot of it.

Lady Jinx is always a cutie.

HOF, always beautiful to me.

Something Superb's first ever blooms in my garden. Definitely room for improvement here.

First ever bloom of Stone Beacon for me also. This one was a bonus plant last fall and I think it's a keeper.

I really, really like the black ey and edge on SBB.

And now a pretty Munson dl.

I made some photos this morning, and will hopefully get them edited and uploaded tonight.

That Hearts of Fire captured my heart! Gorgeous blooms! It must be magical taking a stroll through your gardens.

I love all of them, but,love that HEARTS OF FIRE the best.I love deep dark reds and purples the best,then everything else next best :)

Juliet,Yes, I would say that the pic of Pink Lemonade party is true to the actual color. Everyone has an opinion on what the ideal pink color is. My choices from the more recent CV's has been PINK LEMONADE PARTY, APRIL LAQUINTA, NEON FLAMINGO, and PINK ALOHA. I have yet to acquire PINK ALOHA, but I will at some time in the future, and I'm sure I'll discover a few other pinks that have that wonderful bright clear pink color Linda

Chris: INCA PUZZLE has 10 fans and SUMMERTIME IDYLL has only 6. And I bought these as double fans in 2009. I have to say though I think SI would have done better if I put it in a spot where it had more room from the beginning. Hopefully moving it will improve the increase. Debra: RED SLEEVED WARRIOR is really shining this year. I got this from Curt in 2010 and now it is hitting its stride. I think the last couple of rainfalls we've gotten really helped. Avedon: INCA PUZZLE is a favorite of mine here. Always does well and increases nicely. Julia

Avedon, I don't like really hot weather such as you are having either. I's a good thing that we can't control it though because the insects would tote us away. Hehehe! ngraham, it is a good color but is faded from being open all day. It's usually much darker though. As for frost, it wasn't forcast but where I live, it's much colder than our town which is 7 miles from me. We vary from 3 to 11 degrees colder up here which is good in the summer but makes it a little difficult in the winter.. Casey, I have no idea why it's blooming so late. I have had several do that this year. I have had it for several years so it shouldn't be confused. Celeste, I did the same by checking to see if my data was wrong. Crazy, crazy weather this year may have made the difference. owever, I'm glad to see the bloom.. mantis, I am in zone 7 but my small are is more like a 6. It's been really cool here nights. Upper 40's and low 50's for several nights. I have been waiting for it to warm up in order to get outside.. LOL!! I'm old, you know!! Linda, a surprise is always welcome in the daylilies... Debra, I still have so much to do in the garden so I don't especially welcome the frost but, there's nothing I can do except Roll with the Tide.. Thanks everyone!! If it wasn't for Seil, my pics would still be just point and click! Seil, your pictures just look so real! Thanks for the Inspiration!! Nummy, the lawn edging is done with concrete pavers that fit into each other. The nice thing about them is that you can do curves as well. The main reason for the edging is so that the bot can cut all the way to the edge. 'Henry' and his big brother have been doing our lawns since last year lol. And what a pleasure - no more grass cuttings and no more edges to do!! rosecanadian, LOTS AND LOTS of dandelions and other stuff. We live sort of in the country and the farmer next door has a field which he just leaves to grow wild. Quite pretty with all the wild flowers. It isn't so bad now that the lawn is established. Here you can see the field behind the irises.

They all are nice, but Lady Jinx's lavender pink color is both feminine and soothing. And I agree Stone Beacon is a very nice yellow addition to the garden.

It's always good to know the daylily slideshow from Jan is starting up!

I love the color of Coronal Light -- I grow that one, but it's been a slow grower for me. Dancing with Julie is a beauty.

I see I'm not the only one who loves HOF. It actually looks like velvet in person...just gorgeous.
Maryl...LJ is a pretty little thing and it's blooms always seem to be perfect.

LOL...Rick...if the little buggers would stay off my dl's they might have a fighting chance!! :) It's raining again today, but hopefully we'll have a few nice sunny days soon and I promise to do some bed shots when I hit peak bloom which should be around the 1st week or so of June.
Chris..CL is new in my garden so I'll let you know how it progresses. Oh yes, I've gotten one of two blooms on Marauder so far, but they've been kind of blotchy and the scapes are abnormally short but I have hopes that it'll get much better with some time. No blooms yet on Blue Jay Way.
Hopefuly these two will like it down south better than they did up north with you. LOL

Gorgeous blooms Jan! I really like Coronal Light too...can't wait to see pics as the season progresses! Was thrilled to see your pic of Dancing With Julie too...it was new to my garden last fall, and I can't wait to see it bloom. Keep the pics coming!

Man, this board is really starting to move again!! Somehow I missed this post yesterday... HOF looks beautiful, and you know, Jan, I am not a great big red fan... but I think I might have to have a friend to go with RED EYED FANTASY! :O)~ You have lovely, lovely blooms. DANCING WITH JULIE looks a lot like my SOFT SUMMER NIGHT that just bloomed today (I'll post a pic), wonder if SSN is in the parantage?

I have not, in the past really been fond of those dark eyes, but I have noticed in the past few months being drawn to the really, really contrasting eyes. SBB is very beautiful, which surprises me... had you asked me three months ago, I'd have said ick! :o) Isn't it funny how tastes change.

All the daylilies and you pictures are top notch but that shot of HEARTS OF FIRE is extraordinary. I have an entire row of them next to a very deep red rose planted here and it looked very good last year. Can't wait to see it again this year.
