Cantaloup paletas are especially good! When I make more room in the freezer, I will buy some cantaloups for this, but I do not put alcohol in them. I do put Cointreau or Grand Marnier in strawberry ice cream instead of vanilla, and the last time I made it (two weeks ago), I put 1-1/2 Tbsp of Grand Marnier (I was out of Cointreau - used it in Margaritas), and the ice cream never got very hard, but this actually made it easier to serve. Next time I might use just one tablespoon. When I cleaned out the fridge a couple of weeks, I found some mango liqueur (tiny sample bottle) that I've been adding to my mango juice, and now I need to get more. I think I may have to go to a major liquor store to find it again. Lars

My husband has been saving Altoid tins for years he has quite the collection of colors, sizes and flavors, he uses them to put his loose change in especially quarters, some day we will cash them all in and it will help build him his workshop. He really does have a lot of them LOL He loves the peppermints.

After more research, it seems like Page might offer good, deep, strong flavor I'm after. But the University of Florida says it should be planted near a pollinizer such as Lee. See here: https://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ch067. Page is a Mineola Tangelo/clementine hybrid and Lee is an Orlando Tangelo/clementine hybrid. My neighbor who runs a plant nursery at his house has a nice big Lee for sale. He's had it for a few years. I could get the Lee from him and get a Page and plant them together- match made in Heaven? Would planting them together like that help with any disease problems? I've also found out about the new Sugarbelle mandarin. Read about it: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=sugarbelle+mandarin. After reading about it, I'm definitely getting at least one, might even get two, heck why not? My question is should I forget about the Page/Lee combo and just get a Sugarbelle? It seems my research has led me to believe that Page and Sugarbelle have similar (strong, deep, complex, intense) flavors, but the Sugarbelle has the advantage of being more disease resistant and hardy. And are Kishus overrated? Are they mild? I am still thinking about getting one. I will be buying from Harris Nursery. I found them at Sprouts.. They said they are their big seller in nuts I did look up lemon creme almonds and sure you can find them elsewhere. I'll stick with Sprouts cause they are so close to me and that's where I came across them the first time and purchased them. :o) You will find what's left from my purchase on the front seat of the car, as I dare not bring the rest in, tonight.
