Do you enjoy mangoes?
Comments (25)Golly, I don't think I've ever seen one in a store here, in N. Minnesota. So I've never tasted them. I wonder, some have mentioned having an allergy, and their lips swelling. Is that anything like fresh pineapple? I like them, but if I eat anymore than just a tiny taste, my mouth gets sore. Which makes me wonder, My daughter ordered us the fruit of the month membership, We are finishing off the box of (12) Honeybell oranges, Yumm, and shared with neighbors. One of the months is going to be a pineapple, and wonder how I will use it....See MoreHave a recipe for a Greek pasta salad that you've enjoyed?
Comments (1)My brother makes the best Greek pasta salad. Cook the macaroni al dente Add choppped tomatoes, green peppers and sliced olives - he uses the canned sliced black olives (drain first) Mix a good amount of feta cheese with olive oil and lemon juice - the bottle lemon juice actually works better than using real lemons and then mix into the macaroni and tomatoes. I always add more feta cheese just before serving and some wedges of lemons. I don't like oregano but it would be a good addition to the salad. If tomatoes don't have a good flavour I use cherry or grape tomatoes cut in half. Mix everything together. Anne...See MoreDo you enjoy Indian cuisine?
Comments (26)Just had butter chicken for dinner! Not at/from a restaurant -- it's a frozen dinner from Wegmans grocery store (based in upstate New York but spreading slowly). Love this version; Trader Joe's has one, too, as well as some other types. Chicken tikka masala, as chloecat said, is pretty mild, compared with other dishes. Just ask the waiters to gauge any dish on a "hot" scale for you (like 1-5, 5 being the hottest), and ask whether it's dry or in a sauce (in case you're not a 'sauce' person. Chicken tikka masala and butter chicken are in sauces.) Some of the battered vegetable/potato appetizers --somosas, for instance -- can be quite spicy. Of course, a good way to test several dishes is to see if the new restaurant has a lunchtime or weekend buffet....See MoreIf you enjoy blueberries, you might just like this.
Comments (9)I have made this before as well as other flavors. As a matter of fact I made blueberry and strawberry and took to Alyssa's first birthday meal at the church. We called it the pink stuff and the blue stuff. She celebrated with a little boy that is 4 days older than she is. Sue...See Moreglenda_al
