Atticus is now almost 10months old and 100 pounds. His daddy was 185 and greeted us by poking his nose over the 6-foot fence, so we're expecting big things from this pup.

when we first got him - at five months:

I knew what you meant, but would have probably gone back and corrected it had I typed it too! I do feel lucky to have her... and insane. Izzy has been an exceptional nanny. Jaz isn't feeling too well these days, but when she does feel up to interacting, she's enjoyed the pup too. Here's a short video of Izzy and Tullie shredding rope toys in the back yard earlier today. Aaaahhh, I want a dog! Your sheltie is definitely one of the top dogs in the world (and I'm sure your husband would agree). Thanks for posting the photos--I'm going to show them to my husband tonight and with any luck, we'll be going to the local pound next weekend and getting "mutt". I'd love to have a Sheltie, but am loathe to have a dog that is so much smarter than I am!

Thanks so much for sharing the puppy pics. My DH is fascinated with large dogs and is enjoying watching Atticus grow up with his Scooby!

Thanks! He's a sweetheart. Though I'm afraid we let him grow a little too fast and he got growing pains - panosteitis. Poor guy couldn't stand up one morning. He was so confused! He's better now. Vet says it may come back a few times but will disappear all together by the time he's 18 months old.
We've had to cut back his food a bit, which he doesn't like one bit. As our dog sitter remarked recently "he really likes his food." Actually, he likes all food, but he does do this crazy puppy dance when we feed him his food.
