Just as a sidenote incase anyone is interested: I also enclose in each hosta a second cheap plastic label I stick way in the dirt just incase the metal one gets displaced, so I always have the hosta name in a second place. I notice though that even black Sharpie markers do not last forever. And if the sun hits any part of it, forget it. However, if you get their Metallic Silver markers that are meant to write on dark surfaces, these really stay forever. I have had labels out in the sun for years with no fade so far. And, I also just discoved yesterday at Staples for the first time, that Sharpie now has Oil-Based Paint Markers! They are specifally made to be Weather-Water-Fade-Resistant. The pack I got was one Gold and one Silver. But on the back of the package, it says that they also come in other colors, so I am sure you could find black too at some point. They also have them in different points, med,fine, etc. I just thought I would share that while we are on the subject! Christy

I too was going to suggest Craigslist, but often they go fast so you have to watch closely. There's also thrift stores, but they usually go out the door soon after they come in. I doubt there's any cheap way to build one unless you can find used lumber on CL. Check the materials listings. Often builders get rid of their extras that way. Be creative. Hubby and I love to read. He shares with our son and friends, I started buying mine at thrift stores since I'm not one that has to read the latest when it first comes out. If you do that you could save enough to buy some bookselves. We have a library in our home which I thought was for books, but hubby seems to thinks it for anything he wants to cram in there. So not pretty. I did buy some inexpensive black plastic shelving at Target that I use for lighter things on the upper shelves and stack my books in baskets on the bottom shelves. You could store them under the bed in containers made for under the bed. So much waisted space there.

yes I use it along with bookbub and pixel of ink and a few other places. I usually get at least one or more books added to my library daily. My husband has been really enjoying the vast collection I have amassed for him. He does occasionally want the new book out by one of his favorite authors.

!! This is bizarre... Do you see the reference to ABE, at least? It says probably the best source of second-hand books on the Internet - my personal favourite. I have added a link to ABE to all the book pages to allow a single-click search. (This site is affiliated to abebooks.com, and I earn a small percentage if you buy books via these links.) Directly above that is a banner for ABE books. It's huge! Is there a little red cross (for a missing image?) If you hover in the space above that writing, does the cursor turn into a little hand? What O/S and browser are you using? and what version? It OUGHT to work, and if you can't see it, there are almost certainly others who can't. Which is a worry.
