Ok what did Santa bring

Hi all

Santa was very good to me and my wife this Christmas. He brought us a new digital camera. A Canon 4megapixel. Should work great for posting pictures. Everyone else just gave me cash which I will combine to buy one or two larger gifts. I haven't decided what yet.

Santa brought me loads of scrapbooking supplies for my "other" hobby! 8^)

For the rest DH is up-grading "His" (remember what's his is mine LOL) computer! Yeah baby, you bet I benifit! More memory == more room for more digi-pics! LOL

Santa gave me some plant containers, including a triple-decker hanging one, some plant books, a garden planner, and a cd/dvd burner (so i can store all my garden pictures!). Anyone see a pattern developing there? LOL

Where I currently live, I only have a balcony and it would be pretty hard for someone to get to it to take anything. I did live in Greenfield for a while and had my own outside area for my apartment. I was amazed no one took any of my stuff but then maybe they didn't like it. They did steal patio furniture off of some of the patios. That has got to suck to have stuff stolen. My boyfriend and I have tossed around the idea of moving into a home he owns in a kind of rough area of town to save money. I know people would probably steal stuff out of the front yard there. I thought I could make some big concrete birdbath or something that would give them a hernia if they tried stealing it. Congrats on the new baby niece!

I am sad, i got nothing for the garden. I did get a Cricut machine for my second favorite hobby, scrapbooking. and camoflauge pjs (2 sets) that are 2 sizes to small and can't take them back as they were a closeout. theyre really cute though. My hubbys been out of work because of our lovely economy and i havent worked in 6 months because i work seasonaly in a nursery. hope to go back next week. so needless to say things were slim and we focused on our kids who mostly got stuff i made. Things will be better next year. I am glad ya'll are enjoying your stuff. i guess i should add that hubby did put big rolling doors on my greenhouse on both ends in October so to be thats an awesome present!!

Had a good christmas, got a crock pot,a small one i wanted,subscription to Science News, clothes galore. A promise for flower pots i wanted,and from myself a promise to get more daylilies. There was just DD and myself for Christmas but we made the rounds to neighbors and had fun. Also got some more freebe seed catalogs. Can't garden but i can still dream. Hope everyone had a great christmas with lots of garden goodies. Christie,am looking forward to seeing your pictures. vickie

I can't wait until dcarch post a thread on sharpening knives. I have an electric knife-sharpener but I lost the instruction booklet ... I will post pic. and ask folks here for help. Santa didn't bring me what I want for my entire life: socks that are loose on my ankles. I have skinny chicken-legs and they are still tight even when I dropped down to 110 lbs. I can't cook well when the socks retrict my blood vessels. Tight socks reversed the blood flow so I screwed up on my cooking. LOL! I don't have elephant feet either, I wear size 6 woman. So it must be a conspiracy between Hanes and Fruit of the Loom to make socks that shrink to infant sizes in the dryer, so people have to buy more. Yes, I stretch these socks on top of every cans, including oatmeal in my pantry. People would open my pantry and exclaim, "what's this, a socks party?" My 10-years old, who's under 75 lbs., complained that even the men's socks are tight for her. So I chopped off the top "prison-ankles" off, or buy low-cut socks for her. My husband, who is a skinny-marathon-runner, gave me all his size 11 socks which shrank to size 4, and I still have to cut the tight-top off. Straw (Strawberryhill in Chicagoland)

Here the gardening gifts weren't exactly forthcoming! The closest thing was new batteries and chargers for the camera and a camera for a kid who keeps stealing one of mine! But I did get a new PDA to keep track of stuff on! Oh and he got a flash drive for his laptop (which I use on vacations to put my pics of flowers I want!) Oh let's see, there were the manicure tools to fix the nails I wreck in the garden and the king size heating pad that both of us could use at once after a long day in the yard.

OK if you think about everything in the right way, they're all garden gifts!LOL

LOL...Santa was very good to me this year!
I got Princess cut diamond earrings, a new chair (I kept stealing hubby's) for the computer...it massages! some gardening gloves from my sis and the biggest of all hubby and I sprang for 2 new snomobiles!
I am almost as sore from riding the machine as I was from hauling 10 cu yds of soil last spring!
When the winter is as long as it is here you need something to keep active...funny but when he asked what I wanted I said cross country skis....not exactly the kind I had in mind but I am not complaining!

I got $50 from the MIL, will most likely order seeds with that.
Hubby and I are thinking of putting our money together and buying a 52" TV if we find a good sale.

Al, nice gift you got there from Santa...look forward into seeing some new garden photos come this spring!

I forgot to mention the nice gift from my son. He gave me an "OddJob" cement mixer! I saw it in the store here a few weeks ago and said to him, "Oh, there's my Christmas present!" I meant to buy it for myself on payday, but it was gone, so i had a good idea.... :)

Well, Santa was listening when I added a compost aerator to my wish list. Can hardly wait until spring to start messing around in the composters!
Santa also brought a digital camera...now I just have to figure out how to post photos on Garden Web. Good thing I've a few months before there will be anything to post.
