Maybe you could send it our way. The pastures sure need it, and the lawns are starting to crunch when you walk on them. Everything always grows so much better with rain, rather than tap water. My flowers would appreciate the change.

Yeah it's a little on the dry side here too. I just got the mulch put on my veggie gardens last night, to hold in whatever water they can get. We keep getting rain forecast but just get sprinkled on.

Think on the bright side, rain is great for planting things out.

Hmmm is there a bright side to all the storms that have been going through here. If it was just rain it might not be so bad...but the hail is the killer. I can run pretty fast with large fuchsia planters in each hand when the hail starts. LOL! But then it clears off and the sun comes out and they have to go back out into the shade.....seems like they are just put out there and the hail comes again.......gardening IS VERY GOOD EXCERCISE at times. LOL!

Night before last it got down to 3....everything that could be put back into the greenhouse was. Garden blankets were put on beds that were planted with annuals, except the petunias.

Oh darn its hailing again....and the blooming bags are still out.

We've had a great deal of rain too, almost 4" in about 2 weeks. The plants look fabulous, though - maybe a bit too big and I'm sure everything's gonna flop when it's in the height of bloom (how's that for pessimism). There's been hail in the area, but thankfully not in town.

If this continues to be a wet year (and that could change and we'll be crying for it a month from now...more pessimism), it'll be our 3rd wet year in a row. The water table has risen dramatically and a lot of people without weeping tile/sumps are having basement water trouble. Many farmers in this area have not been able to finish seeding, roads are washed out or are impassible. There just seems to be water everywhere.

You learn to garden in mud fairly quickly. At least you don't have to water in much.

Okay, maybe I am lucky. Or maybe work is just interfering with my gardening. Hmmmmmm. Maybe I should be complaining about that. It would be nice to take a sick day and stay home to plant, but I live a few blocks from work. They probably would frown.
I must admit that my plants are looking wonderful. Some are a bit on the yellow side. I don't know if it's lack of sun or if the rain that has washed away all of the nutrients. I still am luckier than the farmers who can't get their crops in.
We have had hail only once, but it was soft enough so there was no damage.
Alot of my plants were planted in the mud. I'm going to hate mulching because in between all of the rows in the veggie garden are paths that are quite packed. The weeds like the rain as well. Oh well. Life is such.

It was soooooooo dry here until yesterday! We had a good rainfall - so good that dh thought it would wash out the veg. garden! It didn't, and it rained more overnight, so hopefully the moisture has sunk in deep. The ground was just like powder and some plants were getting a little wilted.

Thank goodness we got all the grass cut on the weekend!

Guess what. It rained all day yesterday and all day today. Tommorrow's forcast is rain.

Ohhh you guys with all the rain sound like me last summer. We've had our fair share so far this year, but not as much as last year it seems to me.
For sure it seems like the sun has been out way more anyway.

You certainly have my sympathy as far as getting anything into the ground in the rain!

I'm not worried about planting today. My sewer pump hasn't shut off for a second since 7am. It is running in to my septic tank from my weeping tile as fast as it is pumping out. My next worry will be sewer/ water in the basement. Ggggrrrrrr. Rained all day today again.
It let up this evening. Tomorrows forecast is chance of showers.

This gloomy weather is really getting me down. Now I'm gloomy too!

More rain the last few days. It rained so much yesterday and last night that I have a lake in my back yard. Not just squishy ground but actual water standing.
