Touch Japanese Maple for the conifer garden

Scott

I am now looking for a smaller (4-8'not that size now but down the road)Japanese maple to go in with my conifers. I would like something in the yellow range and maybe even something in the red range. Would I be better posting in another section or would here be just as good because all of you people are so great with your stuff. I need one of the varieties that can take heat better than the others. Cold is not a problem so to speak as we very rarely get below 0. We do but for hours at a time at the most. It will be in a sheltered area and I will have an alkaline soil that I amend with pine needles and other things to get the soil more acidic. I have one that is over 15 years old and another about 7. There are soooo many varieties of these I would like one of the residential experts to give me some advice on the subject. Thanks.
