Thoughts on Pilocereus cacti

Has anybody else noticed the distinct lack of talk about these great Brazilian blue cacti? I have a couple of them and also noticed that they seem to do better in shade than full sun.Or just morning sun and then part shade to shade. And I would think that with cold climate cacti people they would be more popular since I think of the true columnar cacti these would do best indoors for the winter or even year 'round in a bright setting.

I know that they are more frost tender than the Mexican columanar cacti, some of which are quite blue when young, but seem to lose most of that as they age. The Brazilian stay blue.

The Pilocereus might be great as fat plants since they also seem to do very well potted for long periods of time. I could see one with fat trunk in a Bonsai pot.

Just some thoughts to toss out there in net land..too rainy and dark for pics right now.
