Hi again - Thanks for your replies. Here's another picture. Hopefully this one will be a little better for you, Ken. Just let me know if you would like more pics. I took several shots of it. I live in Joplin, MO (the place the EF5 tornado hit a couple years ago, though it missed us by 3/4 mile). The tree was grown in Oregon and I bought it from the Home Depot here (the one that was on the national news and destroyed by the tornado - not that anyone member that or that it even matters as far as this tree is concerned). Anyway, the tree is in very rocky and well-drained soil. I hate to admit it, but I don't know what type of oil I have here (that's because I'm just a beginner and didn't even have any interest in trees or doing yard work of any sort until this summer and I haven't had a chance to get to that yet). We have a lot of native oak trees around if that tells anyone anything. Anyway, my Limber Pine seems to be getting worse by the day. I had given it a good soaking since I hadn't watered it in a week or two, and then we happened to get a lot of rain over several days, so maybe it just got too much water(?). As far as transplant shock, it had looked beautiful and very happy for about 3 months, then all of a sudden it's turning yellow. This seemed to begin after I'd watered it, however it's possible it could have started before that and I just didn't notice it, being that it began on the west side of the tree and I don't often look at it from that side.

WoW Will you have room for all those?? Many of those resent too high humidity,very high light requirements and several get quite large. I have seen beautiful succulent terrariums but for me they rot . So I mainly grow them in the yard. How do you plan on potting and arranging?? gary

I have been reading the many suggestions and I am relatively new to pie baking and have learned a lot here. As far as soggy crusts go, I happened on the thought that a light layer of cream cheese might taste good with making my first pie which happened to be strawberry. I used a small spatula to apply the cream cheese on the bottom and half way up. Several of my friends commented on the the fact that it was not soggy. Next I made a Canadian apple pie and I mixed the cream cheese (use about 3 ounces) with maple paste, and applied that as before. I also added 3 TBSP cornstarch to the maple syrup and liquid from apples I had seasoned and froze 6 months ago, cooked it and made a nice somewhat thickened sauce which I added the apples to and voilà, a nice firm crust and no runny pie. Also, thanks for the suggestions from Annie and Lindac to use pyrex, place pie on lower half of oven and start at 425f and lower in 10 min. to 350. Someone just brought me fresh blackberries and I'm all pumped up to make this pie without cream cheese to see if it works for me as well.

I am puzzled by your comment that you soak it for 15 minuets but that the plant never gets soaked. I suspect that you are keeping the plant too dry. Kalanchoes don't like to be soggy but they don't like to go totally dry either. I think perhaps your soil is so dry that it is hydrophobic, meaning it can't absorb water well. Pull the plant gently out of the pot and check to see what the soil at the bottom is like. I think you'll find it dry. If it is extremely dry, soak the plant in a bucket till the plant is wet then remove and allow all excess to drain away. Check to see if the plant is still damp 5 to 7 days later. Try not to let the plant dry out too much, but don't water it till the top of the soil is dry down to about an inch. Then water thoroughly from the top (with a saucer under the plant) till water pours out the bottom (maybe a 1/4 inch of excess) let the plant sit in that for your 15 minuets then discard what ever was not absorbed. The plant will probably need watering again a week later, till you know how much water the plant is using check it at least once per week. Hope this helps. Fred Rina answered before I could, LOL!
