Key Lime problems, could use some advice

I planted an everbearing key lime tree this spring. It was a 7 gal size, and had blossoming branches and some new growth buds on it when I planted it. The site is sandy and well drained, it recieves fairly good amount of moisture from rainfall or from misters, but the soil surface dries out fairly quickly to the touch, and there is no mulch or ground cover of any kind for 36" around the trunk. The new growth grew out several inches and got full of new leaves, but lately the leaves have been getting slightly yellowish looking, and there have been no new flower buds even though key limes are supposed to be everbearing. I fertilized the tree lightly with citrus food a month or 2 after planting, but not again lately, and the site recieves about 8-10 hrs of direct sunlight a day.

Any ideas? A few leaves have had leaf miners and dropped off, but I don't think that is the cause of no new growth or new flowers. Dave
