Hi all, thanks for replying. The fertilizer will be used on young plants (partly wintersown and others under lights) for the next 5 months. The soil they are planted in is homemade of peatmoss verm and perlite (no additives). They won't get planted out for quite some time Yes, it does say to NOT use blood meal on seedlings, but it heated up my compost pile great. I'm learning alot, but mostly having problems understanding and balancing the chemistry components of it (miracle grow was already mixed) it is confusing that if you add too much of this, it depletes that. I spent last year delving through the faq and organic threads and enriched my soil with compost and lasagna gardening (feed the soil not the plants), but for seedlings and young plants, I'd like to know how to help them get healthier root systems prior to planting out (I read nitrogen helps to develop healthy root systems) in my hopefully enriched soil (which will get compost again this spring). For me this is definately a learning curve.

Trane or AmStd heat pumps, XR15 or Heritage 15 models. Maybe a step up in model to qualify for Fed Tax Credit. While I am sure the boiler hot water heat is nice, you must get away from the propane as the fuel. Dealer will need to check your electric service to see about the electric resistance heat. Air handlers, outside condensers, and backup electric resistance heat should be on separate circuits. IMO

desertsteph - thank you. I do think the counter top would look great with bisque. It looks really good with the stainless range top too - next to the stainless the grey pops. I got lights in the kitchen today and I can't get over how much I love the CT. I just keep saying - OMG, I can't believe that is mine (and I thought I was going to really miss my work horse white Formica!) Thanks Texas_Gem. One step closer!!! I m sooo ready to be done!

Sorry, but no, I must pls. disagree. I'd guess that peaty mix is rotting the roots off, & needs to be changed. Haws are vulnerable to root rot already & leaving it on that bad mix invites further rot. Once the rot climbs the roots to the base of the plant, it's all over, the whole thing will collapse, sorry. Pls. buy some cactus & succulent mix & also perlite, mix the 2 50/50 & plant in that. Otherwise, if you leave that plant on that mix, especially if you bury the roots, it's unlikely to make it. Better to water plants earlier in the day so they can have the warmer day to take it up. Do not water this plant until you correct the soil; repot then wait another week.
