? about SS packages

What is the cut off for mailing them out? I'm waiting on a couple items that I can't get until the beginning of next week.

I think the date was the 15th, to keep plants headed north from freezing.I would think it would be ok for it to be a few days late.Where's it headed to? :D

El, I don't think anyone who is a regular would think that? But who knows, I could be wrong as well? I just thought, like I said before he might pop on just to say it was him, he may get the urge to lurk for a min or two. Also had the thought that maybe we shouldn't jump to conclusions, automatically assuming it was Mike..I don't know if there is anyone else in on the SS who is from Arkansas, or not, but we could have been wrong about it being him..know what I mean? Didn't want to jump out there saying it was Mike, saying what a great SS he is, and then it NOT be him, ya know? I know it will prob be awhile before he's back again..but we can hope it will be sooner than later. I feel so bad about that situation. And for anyone who may think we are clicky..we're not :) lol

Lol, Glad I wasn't the only one who got done last minute. I got most of the plants in the garage but still have a lot left in the front flower bed. No more room at the inn. Waaaaahaaaaa. I took a cutting from this cool butterfly looking thing. It just bloomed and I didn't know what it was. The flowers look just like tiny blue and white butterflies and even have antennae. I hope its hardy here. The garage is packed and the front porch I couldn't go do anymore. Thank goodness John's son stopped by long enough to help move the huge plumerias. The one is bent over a little on the ceiling but its in there. I dread winter.

No, I haven't either and I am worried as well. I sure hope you are ok Karyn. I am praying for you. Please don't worry about the package. Whoever you are sending it to will be happy to wait until you feel better. You have to get well so I can show you the little clippings you sent me a while back that are blooming. They are so cool. I had no idea they would bloom so fast. The ones that look like parrot beaks make me smile every time I go in the kitchen. Hugs and love to you We all miss you.

I thought it was the 10th or 15th but started getting worried when I saw all these posts about people getting their packages. I'll be sending mine out next week. BTW April mine is going to someplace in the US ; )

I also thought it was the 15th, mine will be going out next week as well. Hey and I know where Karen's package isn't going!!!

it better be the 15th lol. See Karyn you are not alone hahahaha Monday...monday will be the day. The main thing is that you keep the zone in mind....ha ha ha ha ha ha ha which in my case means...since I am not able in sending cuttings..or life plants...it COULD become a x mas present hahahahaha Darn deadlines rofl.
I wish I could tell my SS not to be sad that the box is not there yet. WE ARE ALL WORKING hard on getting them out.

Mine won't get out until next week also. I'm waiting for a few items to arrive. I believe the Post office will be closed on Tuesday for Veterans Day, so I'm looking at Wed. to get mine out, which is the 12th, so I figure that I'm still within the deadline date. That's 3 days early for me which is saying something. I'm not saying I'm always late, but I'm usually cutting it close down to the wire. Plus I'm still working on a project that's going in the box. I'm sooooo slooowwww! Hey, but next week will be so exciting with so many getting their SS boxes out and others receiving theirs. :))) Love reading the posts from the ones that have already received their goodie boxes.

it depends N S E W of what? Hmmmmm she could say all of the above, its true. I give clues to my kids like that for christmas................ the latest clue is it is sometimes inanimate, sometimes alive and taller than my 15 yo.and it is black white and yellow. Think she will ever guess sunflower seeds?????

Mary....just don't let her get nick picky about the inanimate part.

Well I am just wondering,( the story) A few weeks back I bought this gigantic mangoes at the grocery store, and when I cut them up the seed was starting to sprout! so I put 3 or 4 in pots with dirt another few in the ground and 3 in a moist paper towel stuffed it in a baggie, the baggie seeds are slowly putting a couple of leafs and only 2 in the pots are starting to breake trhu the rest just rotted WHY? I figure I could overwinter with a clear glass or plastic now the ones in the pots will come inside.

Yes the last day was the 15th, but I don't see any reason why it would be a prob for you to send it a little later if you are waiting on something. I'm sure your SS wouldnt mind.
The dates to mail between are Nov 1st thru 15th.

LOL Mary, I can just picture her facial expression with that clue!!! I would have never guessed it to be Sunflower seeds, lol!

you aren't by yourself, about next week, mine is going out Thursday, payday for me I just have a few more things to put in the box, then out it goes, Thursday is the last of my Cristmas shoping, half of it was over Oct 16th

My SS package could have been shipped out on Friday. I just can't bring myself to seal it shut. What's with that? I always think of something else to put in AFTER I seal the package up! Major procrastination!!!8~[
