SS package on its way

I got it sent out today. Yippee I'm on time for once in my life. It was a close call since the post office closed an hour earlier than I thought but the next town over was still open so its on the way. Now to try and do something with my plants outside. I don't know if they will all make it but I'll do what I can.

Mine went out today as well. I hope everyone reads this post, as I made just a slight ooopsie!!! I didn't put who mine was from!!!! So if you get a box from Tennessee, it is me. Or at least I think I am the only Tennessean participating.

El, I don't think anyone who is a regular would think that? But who knows, I could be wrong as well? I just thought, like I said before he might pop on just to say it was him, he may get the urge to lurk for a min or two. Also had the thought that maybe we shouldn't jump to conclusions, automatically assuming it was Mike..I don't know if there is anyone else in on the SS who is from Arkansas, or not, but we could have been wrong about it being him..know what I mean? Didn't want to jump out there saying it was Mike, saying what a great SS he is, and then it NOT be him, ya know? I know it will prob be awhile before he's back again..but we can hope it will be sooner than later. I feel so bad about that situation. And for anyone who may think we are clicky..we're not :) lol

LOL Diane! I should just write ditto! Mine should have gone out at the end of last week. I couldn't believe how long it took me to wrap and photograph everything before shipping. So now there are two people who will be receiving a two box shipment from California! Make sure you unpack both boxes before you open anything!

My package was delivered yesterday...i hope it arrived okay...I'm getting nervous that __________________ might have been crushed, and _________ could have leaked out and ruined the ______ and _________. Lol, Glad I wasn't the only one who got done last minute. I got most of the plants in the garage but still have a lot left in the front flower bed. No more room at the inn. Waaaaahaaaaa. I took a cutting from this cool butterfly looking thing. It just bloomed and I didn't know what it was. The flowers look just like tiny blue and white butterflies and even have antennae. I hope its hardy here. The garage is packed and the front porch I couldn't go do anymore. Thank goodness John's son stopped by long enough to help move the huge plumerias. The one is bent over a little on the ceiling but its in there. I dread winter.

Kristy, the blue & white butterfly plant, sounds like clerodendrum ugandense. I would love to see a picture. It is only hardy to 50*. Hope you get done all your gardening.

Yes thats it! It doesn't read the label I guess though because its about 7 feet tall and had already been throught a very light frost before it bloomed, lol. I will try to get John to download my pics on his computer. I am afraid if I put them on this one it will die and I won't get to see them again, lol.

Please please...don't be offended...I'm going to ask this silly question just in case I need a new addiction.

What is so special about Plumeria? I don't think I've ever seen a Plumeria plant other than in photos. Do they have a strong fragrance? What is it?

Kristy, bring in the clerodendrum ugandense, that and the potato bush, are the only plants I lost last winter at the coast. It was well established, and I had 6 inches of mulch on the base, I thought for sure it would come back, but it did not. Barbra,

oh that butterfly flower is gorgeous!!!! And TJ I was like you, I had never seen a plumeria before in my life then a friend of mine hooked me up and yes it will be a new addiction, some are more fragrant than others, I had my first ever blooms this summer, it was wonderful!!!

I don't think I can dig up the butterfly tree. The base is huge. I will try and take some more cuttings just in case. The plumeria smell wonderful and once they get a little size to them they bloom all summer and even into the winter in the garage if you don't let them go dormant but they get really tall eventually and can be a problem getting them inside.
