SS Package arrived here TOO !!!

When I came home from work yesterday, my package was waiting for me !! I was from a beautiful,very generous, loving person from Arkansas, and contained 20 brug cuttings, some already rooted!!!!

They were : Susi-Q, ADeline, Orange Slush, Cherub, Janet Reno, Tiara, Gemini, Hiawian Dbl White, Day Dreams, Neon Pink, Little Moon, Pink Perfection, Dr. Suess, Double Delight, Creamsickle, Apricot Moon Flower, Versi Peach, Peach Candida, Dreamsickle, and N.O.L. !!! Almost all were ones I did not have !!!!

Then: Four Super sized cuttings of Eppi's, labled "Yours truely"... I have been wanting Eppi's for a very, very long time.

And Then: TWO cuttings of "Cup Of Gold". ( Someone PLEASE tell me about these!!!!)

AND THEN: Eleven packages of seeds.... Double purple / white Datura, 4-O-clocks- mixed colors, Grandpa Otts morning glory, Autumn Beauty Sunflower, Moulin Rouge Sunflower, Tasmanian Poppy, Double Yellow Datura, Single Lilac Datura, Monarda-Cambridge Scarlet, Tithonia Mexican Sunflower, and Mixed Morning Glory seeds.

I think I know who sent this wonderful box, and I am so overwelmed by the generosity that it brought tears to my eyes, knowing that much time and thought was put in to it despite all that has happened in the last few weeks.

So , I have many "Green " Babies to look after this winter, and that brings me such joy, watching them develop roots and leaves, and wondering what the flowers will look like next summer.

Sandra I think that is the reaction a SS buddy loves to hear! You could hear the excitement of all those goregeous new bruggies that you can call your own now. WOW you truly must have a green thumbed SS lol.
Even if I repeat myself, those shared cuttings,plants and seeds mean so much more then if you go and buy them!

Sandra, The angels are deceding in your yard. Wow, 20 new ones and they're all really pretty ones. Happy to hear you finally got some epis. That cup of gold (if it's the vine)has gorgeous trumpet shaped flowers. It's a stunning vine. OOOOOhhh and some fantastic seeds too! You're going to have a garden with the WOW! with all those beauties. You'll have to be sure to take lots of pics this season.

oh, tenderlee, ya crack me up! Hey, they made a song about us trashy women,somethin' 'bout likeing their women on the trashy side! I think they even sang something about my hairdo, the Dolly Parton hair, us southern girls can get that wild high hair with a good old can of that Aussie Freeze hair spray!!LOL!!OK, back to your question, yes, it is a knife handle and it is attached to one of those suction cups with the wire. Cherry even included some sweet little pink roses in the top of it, but you can fill it with water and add a flower or even a vine to root. I stuck it on my kitchen window and it is so cute. I am charging my camera right now, (it went dead at a birthday party tonight, as usual!)so I will take a better pic tomorrow for you. Mine won't get out until next week also. I'm waiting for a few items to arrive. I believe the Post office will be closed on Tuesday for Veterans Day, so I'm looking at Wed. to get mine out, which is the 12th, so I figure that I'm still within the deadline date. That's 3 days early for me which is saying something. I'm not saying I'm always late, but I'm usually cutting it close down to the wire. Plus I'm still working on a project that's going in the box. I'm sooooo slooowwww! Hey, but next week will be so exciting with so many getting their SS boxes out and others receiving theirs. :))) Love reading the posts from the ones that have already received their goodie boxes. Yeah what Katie said (whistling...) The steak knives for vegetarins brings up a point that hit home for me....sure, this swap is about favorite things, but I find that MY favorite stuff would NOT be welcome in some places, so I stick with 'what would he/she like?' I'm such a practical person, sigh.

Wow I think I know who sent it too, and I think everyone this person shared with felt like they got a SS gift even if this person wasn't their SS. Congrats and I hope everything grows well for you.

I have to say I feel the same. Reading this post brought tears to my eyes and I had already called the person who sent this and my cuttings earlier Santa ****. Sandra I am so touched by your post. Bless you all.

Sandra, such a fantastic SS gift box! You will have fun rooting all those cuttings and later enjoying the plants in your garden. The seeds all sound great as well. Was this Mike's box? Sorry, but I don't think we should keep it a secret if we know.

Sounds like you hit the jackpot with your SS package, boy alot of great pacakges coming and going and we all owe this to our Kylie.

Sorry Daniella, but I think it will be a very long time before Mike starts posting again. By then, this post will be back in page 2 or 3. Besides, when people start writing that they think they know who it is, I don't think it's fair on those that don't know and might think this is a clickish thing. I might be wrong.

El, I don't think anyone who is a regular would think that? But who knows, I could be wrong as well? I just thought, like I said before he might pop on just to say it was him, he may get the urge to lurk for a min or two. Also had the thought that maybe we shouldn't jump to conclusions, automatically assuming it was Mike..I don't know if there is anyone else in on the SS who is from Arkansas, or not, but we could have been wrong about it being him..know what I mean? Didn't want to jump out there saying it was Mike, saying what a great SS he is, and then it NOT be him, ya know?

I know it will prob be awhile before he's back again..but we can hope it will be sooner than later. I feel so bad about that situation.

And for anyone who may think we are clicky..we're not :) lol

Yes , my SS is Mike. I recieved an e mail yesterday from him asking if I recieved my package. He said he is going through a very hard time, and he may not be posting for a while.
I did write him back to thank him, and let him know my prayers and thoughts have , and will be with him and Arrant..
