Desert Rose Plants from Thailand (pix)

Last month some of my friends and I gather up and order a large order from ThaiLand. The seller is www.kingadenium.com

We order total 55 plants. Because no import permit seller only send 10 each week. So far we get 50 plants (10 each box) and 5 more coming sometime this week. Because we used EMS service so the shipping cost us $120 each box (very expensive) It take about 4-5 days to get here.

Some caudex were very very small.

Check the site and see the color. The most expensive one was

QUATRO GOLDEN KING. (very rare color, gold and yellow) Cost $30 if buy 10 or more and add $12 for shipping =$42 and the caudex only medium size egg.

Seller sent me a catalog with all picture and price over email. If anybody want to get some, let me know I can forward to your email.

Hi ltran, I just went to their website...Wow!! They have some truly amazing Adeniums...I've never seen so many gorgeous colors and had no idea there were so many different ones out there!I can see why the prices are high...I guess that's something we won't be buying at home depot or lowe's anytime soon,lol... I can't wait to see yours bloom. Good luck with your purchases and hope you have wonderful success with them. I'm sure you will...I've seen gorgeous pictures of your other Desert Roses and you seem to grow them very successfully and have quite a beautiful collection!

Its a shame the shipping costs are so high...Enjoy them!!

Here is another site, but this seller is so high. He only deal with large order. He also sent me a catalog, but cost so much more than the previous seller without shipping. I loved his flowers and wanted to get one so bad.

I asked King Adenium for one with 5 grafts with 5 colors and he said would be $400 (If order, it is going to take 3-4 months and you can order with the colors you choose from his list, double, triple, and quatro) 1/2 $$ deposit now and 1/2 when ready.

May be I stop eating begin today for my order next year....hihihi....

I'd agree that it's not CB. My first thought on seeing the first photo was 'New Dawn', but agree that the foliage is not at all right for that rose. Unfortunately, I don't have a good suggestion for what it is.

Thank you Cara, Kirk and Claus. So many blooms already dropped since Aug. 10, but this plant still puts out more buds each day. Today with 16 blooms open and few buds ready soon. Hi Connie, Glad to know theres others out there with the same mind frame. Have fun ordering your other three babies. OK Miss Northern Enabler, a.k.a. TJ, it sounds so adorable doesn't it. I do want to do it bad but I was so trying not to order any more roses and start filling in more with other perennials. waaaaaaaa! If only I had tons of sunny space to work with but I don't. waaaaaaa!!!! Anyways, I was wanting some more english roses so I will probably hold off for a while anyways. Hope you are doing well! Chuy, I plant the cuttings from my DR the same as Marie (1tran54). In the summer, it only took 3 weeks to see the leaves growing from the cuttings. Once you put the cuttings in, water sparingly then don't water until you see a few sets of leaves. They won't have the pretty fat caudex but their roots are just as interesting. Good luck! Kuan

There are many sellers of double,triples and multi-cv's on the same plant right here in the US..

Join a y*a*h*o*o or c*u*b*i*t*s group to get more info on adeniums than you could shake a stick at..

Those plants with a caudex that size would cost more here, I have a friend that hybridizes them himself. But they are seed grown. Those are beautiful, and I would love to see pictures again when they are in flower, thank you for taking the time to show them to us. Norma

I have often times looked at these beauties...the rose flowered ones are quite impressive I must say!! Every now and again I think about importing one, but just no room with all the rest of my stuff so I admire others in pics. Best of luck with yours and I hope the flower true to name :o) Dan

In these pictures, one of my adenium had the first bloom.
The name of the flower is TRIPLE SPLASH. The plant still very young and small, so the bloom is not that big either. I will post more pictures next summer to see the real bloom after the plant is fully develop. I put 4 plants in one pot, but you can tell the middle one with the bud.
Please tell me if it does or doesn't look like it's mother.

As you can see, I don't know how to care for any other kind of c & s. I read this page many times a day, but never write anything other than complement people. I had other plants of succulents, but don't know the name. I focus on desert rose most of the times.
