Nagami Kumquat is dying, Help.

Hi,

I bought a nagami kumquaat last fall, it had plenty of fruit over the winter (I live in N. CA). The tree is planted in the container, outside on the patio, sunny side. About two weeks after it had fruit, it began to dry out and loosing leaves. This morning when I walked outside, the patio floor was covered with kumquat leaves. I am watering as the top soil gets dry. I checked whether the bottom is full of water but it seems to be just moist, the water is not collecting there so there it should not be roots issue. I am not sure what else to do, all my other dwarf trees are fully blooming, this is the only one that seems to be slowly dying. Is there any way to revive it?
