NAGAMI Kumquat fertilizer during blooming?
Comments (4)David, any good quality citrus fertilizer. There are several on the market. I have used Vigoro Citrus Fertilizer, and my favorite product is Gro Power Citrus & Avocado Food. It has a large amount of humus and humic acid in it, which really helps my DG soils. Fertilize 3 to 4 times a year. You don't mention where you live, but I've included a nice guideline for managing Citrus in California for you, which includes fertilizing. Patty S. Comments (3)If the Kumquat has green branches, don't give up on it yet. I've seen trees drop all of their leaves and come back. Branches are dead when they turn black. I keep potted citrus in the house over winter. In the middle of winter when citrus are staving for light is not the best time uproot them. Even more so if they are stressed from something. We can only speculate as to what your problem may be without any photos....See MoreNagami Kumquat What to do with it?
Comments (3)Do you eat the peel with the fruit? That's how you should eat Kumquats. The peel is sweet while the flesh is sour so you get a sweet/sour taste eating them together. And because of the sweet peel I've heard it makes very good Marmalade....See MoreUPDATE on Dwarf Nagami Kumquat :-)

However -- there is no new fruit on the new shoot or its side branches, only on the original lower branches. Is this to be expected within the first year of the new growth? I thought it bloomed/fruited on new wood....See MoreJohn 9a
