I have a herd of Gazelle!

Well 5 actually. I started Integrifolia 'Gazelle' seed from my garden on December 9, 2007.

I just happened to check the bags today and found 5 seedlings with at least 2 leaves each. I repotted them (after double checking Brian Collingwoods instructions from his web page. Thanks Brian!) and have my fingers crossed that they will continue to do their thing.

I am so excited for spring to get here. I have had enough snow and want to get on with the garden now.

Here is a picture of the mother plant combined with Integrifolia. It is the white one in the center top of the vines. I love the non-clinging status of this clematis lounging over the driftwood I found at the river. With the two mixed together they put on a great show. Unfortuantely I can not find a picture of just Gazelle. I'm sure I took one! I have pictures of everything ten times over!

Typically I give all my seed to my mother as she has the knack with clematis, I don't. I get the orchids to flower again and again, she can't. We are constantly switching plants.

Miguel, I think in 06 I got Crispa seed from you and my mother did a fine job. Because in 07 the seedling was about 8" high and this is the result.

I'm just going to keep trying. Can't wait to see flowers. Hoping I get something new.

Dana, congrats on the seedlings! I did send you some seed a year or so ago but can't remember what I sent since I have sent seeds to so many people I can't remember who gets what! Here is a picture of the mother plant your seed came from.

Your Gazelle looks lovely and can't wait to see what the babies look like. I have Medley that I got a few years ago from Van Bourgodien that is coplanted with my Petit Faucon.

I know all too well what you mean about some people being able to grow some things so easily from seed and others having a time. Some clematis seed are easy for me and others are just a pain in the @ss as far as getting them started. Patience is just something I am trying to cultivate as far as raising clematis from seed! :0

I'd have to say our does not have the color your does. I am very pleased that we have a solid white although I will reserve any definitive answers until the second year of blooming.
I like our ruffled edges, they are quite unique.

I have an XL Glider, and I love it too. My husband found out why it squeaks. Because they come preassembled, they are painted and assembled very quickly. When the paint comes off after using and folding/storing it, the metal rubs a bit on the joint that crosses. He put a thin plastic washer in between the two poles and WaLaa! No more squeaks! (he has the allen wrenches that are required to seperate the poles, you may need to purchase them). These are the joints that the manual says to check and make sure that they are tight before using. You could lubricate the joint, I suppose, but I haven't had a squeak since. It was so annoying, I use mine every other day in the morning, I am so happy now. Jainie

Hello Felan, I am sorry I don't have any advise pertaining to the product you are inquiring about. However, maybe I can be of help reguarding your lack of a credit card, or at least give you some advice on aquiring some of the conveniences that a credit card affords you. Are you aware that a debit card, or ATM (automated teller machine) card, basically works just like a credit card? Because of my lack of credit, I have not been able to get a credit card (or at least one with a less then ridiculous interest rate). But to my suprise I have found that when ordering items that I have seen on TV, I still have the freedom to choose the payment plan option. In some cases, I am not even sure if they can tell a credit card from a debit card. When, they ask what type of card I have, I simply reply, Visa and go on to give the required information. The payments are deducted directly from my checking account. However, I believe you can also have debit cards linked to other types of accounts, such as savings. Check it out! Once you get one, you'll wonder how you ever got along with out it. Just make sure your bank deals with one of the major companies, (for example mine is uses Visa) and make sure you don't get an account with allot of, or high service charges. Most banks offer economy checking accounts, or free savings accounts. For example, my checking account doesn't earn interest but there are no charges for card use, and no limit on check use as long as I keep at least $100 in the account. Try it you'll love having one!

I hope this doesn't just add more confusion to a confusing issue but let me take a crack at explaining the Durkee's, Frank's, hot sauce, wings sauce thing. Durkee's and Frank's Red Hot Sauce is a hot pepper sauce, similar to Texas Pete's, Louisiana Hot Sauce, etc. It's basic ingredients are cayenne pepper and vinegar. Generally you sprinkle it on food to spice it up. It has two names because Durkee's acquired Frank's several years ago. I have usually seen both names on the label but I'm not sure that is consistently done. Confusing. Buffalo wings were invented at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, NY. The recipe was simple -- coat fried chicken wings by tossing them in a bowl with a mixture of Frank's Hot Sauce (Durkee's) and melted margarine. That recipe was printed on the Frank's Hot Sauce label for years. It still is, so far as I know. I haven't looked lately. A few years ago, Frank's (Durkee's) introduced a new product and they have been promoting it heavily. It is called Frank's Red Hot WIngs Sauce. It is Frank's Hot Sauce with vegetable oil added. Saves you the trouble of mixing two ingredients. :-) Frank's Wings Sauce is not the same as Frank's Hot Sauce. Frank's Wing Sauce is MADE FROM Frank's Hot Sauce. For sprinkling on your food or MAKING wing sauce, you want Frank's Red Hot Sauce. For ready to use Buffalo Wings coating, you want Frank's Wing Sauce. Confused yet? Frank's (Durkee's) now sells at least six related but different products, all packaged in that familiar looking bottle with similarly designed labels. Now that's confusing. What about the blue cheese dip customarily served with celery sticks alongside Buffalo wings, you ask? I don't even want to talk about it. Too confusing. Do whatever you want. Never heard of Gazelle. I sold my hubbys two year old Samsung Galaxy Note 2, that spent it's full life in an Otterbox Defender for $200 cash via a fb for sale page. It went super fast. Hubby didn't think I'd get that much. After watching other cells sell on those pages, I thought it was worth a try. There was plenty of interest right away. Now that you can remove the sim cards they can be used by any service provider or even the pay as you go/prepaid services. I'm on Verizon Edge now, and have had my phone long enough that I could get a new one, but I like it so I'm keeping it until it's paid off. If there's something else out there that I like better than my Samsung Galaxy S5, I'll sell it on fb or just keep it until something better comes out.

Dana, only goes to show that you won't know what you get from seed until you grow them out, even from species plants since, if there are other clematis nearby, you won't know if there has been any cross-pollination going on. Even with seed from species, you can get a variation of color with some plants coming from the seed of one parent plant having more intense color than the other. See the link below to the COTW listing for crispa and you will see what I mean.

I think that if that flower on your plant was on a juvenile plant it probably is a good thing to wait and see what it looks like as the plant matures. Often shape, size, and coloration can change as a plant matures.

Miguel,does your mother plant have variegated foliage? It sort of looks like it from your picture. I'm always looking for plants with unusual foliage.

All the photos are just gorgeous! It sounds like it would be a lot of fun to plant some seeds and see what the babies look like. Btw, my friend Melva is looking for Campaniflora seeds if anyone has some to trade or for SASE.

Karen, the picture of crispa that I posted doesn't have variegated foliage. Not sure what was up with that plant that spring but the foliage is usually just all green. Later in the season it looked more typical of what it should look like. Here is what crispa normally looks like as far as foliage.

It is very pretty and I need it. I think Brushwood has it in stock. And, lol, at the risk of being enabled by you again, what are those pretty little blue flowers that you have planted at the base of Crispa? I love their wispy foliage.

They are Nigella. They reseed like mad and just earlier today I was out weeding some out of the garden. They are even in the yard, which might not be a bad thing since the yard got fried last summer in our drought and they might be the only green thing in some areas this spring! LOL
