Clems Breaking Dormancy - Prune?

Hi there! My clems are already breaking dormancy! Should I prune now? I have lots of new ones and two that need serious help. When it stops raining I will take pics to show you. One is 'Carnaby' a serious overgrown tangle. I guess I need to try and thin it out. Also, 'Warsaw Nike.' I know that one needs to get pruned all the way down. It didn't last year. It is also an overgrown tangle. When it stops raining I will take pics so you can get a better idea. The new ones even if group II's still need to get pruned all the way down right? They are showing green sprout tips near the soil! All the new ones are. Yeah! I am so looking forward to a fun Clematis Season! :o)
