Does look like a frosty pink - one of the old stalwarts. But as jesus said, it could be any. I had a frosty pink years ago, and the blooms looked like that, kind of a "quilted" look. I always enjoyed it - and don't know why I don't have one now. It was always one of the most strongly scented brugs I had. Roses. Always smelled like roses to me. Thank you for the beautiful pics - I think I'll get one for myself. (Short/small brug, stays a manageable size.)

It sounds in a way similar to a chickadee to me - a two-note, descending melody - but distinct enough that I can't possibly see that it could be one unless I've got mutant chickadees in the woods at work.

Wow - that is gorgeous! But looking at the pics in the Hosta Library - your's doesn't look like most of those pics either! :-) I guess I just need to let it grow up a bit to try to figure out what mine is. And Ken - how the heck are ya! It has been a few years - I had some major life changes and stepped away from the gardens for a bit. I am now settled into new full time job, divorce is almost final and I have my house back.... so yes, back to being happy with dirt under my fingernails and sweaty and sunburned LOL! Alexa
