Norma your kindness and generosity has been felt by so many here. Many of my friends here and myself have benefited so much from your vast knowledge of these unique plants which makes you a unique human being..

Thank you for the cuttings, and I wanted to post a couple pictures to show you what they are up too..From the looks of many of the pictures by others here, I would say many members pretty much content..

Rooting them should be no problem since some here have given great advice on how to do so and I have never failed a cutting yet..

Thank you Norma, and as many here promised, I will pay it forward,

Sitting in a dry gritty mix until signs of growth appear in a special place, my pop up green house with lots of light and warmth, no direct sun..Pictures were taken outside just for a few minutes..

I agree with you. Norma is very kind and generous. I have a bunch of leaves from my Hummel's that I am rooting and I am going to have fun giving them away. Norma has emailed me and given all kinds of sugestions. I need to hurry and post pictures of her generous cutting I recieved from her. Newbies like me can sure learn a lot from Norma if they listen to what she is saying. Thanks to her, I even checked out the website for Huntington Conservatory. I bet she has 10 very happy campers!

Judy, Hope you sell out in the Spring. This is so easy when you get the hang of it. Post or send pics when you get a chance. Doesn't matter if you use the inside or the outside of the mold, as long as they turned. Did you make plain or decorative? Billie

No, I do not unless there is some reason to be concerned. If there are other iffy areas among the roots then I think it would be wise to hang it and let it dry a while. Now mind you I have less experience with adeniums than many of you here but with succulents and bonsai in general and I also give a spraying over with sulfur to deter fungal and bacterial issues. If in doubt, I wouldn't urge anyone to feel the need to toss out conventional wisdom and repot back up right away. I do, but then I also keep the soil a little on the dry side and treat the plant for repotting stress for a week or two of light watering and dappled sunlight until the plant settles back in. Obviously I'll need a few years to fine tune what works best for me but so far I haven't lost anything to rot aside from a few seedlings at first start. On the other hand I've only brought my adeniums through one winter thus far.

There are many people out there who are just now beginning to take cuttings from their brugs & it just takes one person to make the day of another! You know if I had one to spare - it would be yours! The one with the flower is S. aubrytiana and the flower this year was huge, 5" across, and at least 1 ft long, now it is a mature plant, the flower had a wonderful perfume to it and kept my whole house smelling like a bunch of fresh Roses. Really you can't tell what they are going to look like until the plant matures, so when the leaves are mature, then you can name them. Don't any one fool you that they can name a young leaf. You need to see the whole plant, many go through 3 different stages of development just like we do. I work with experts, and they are the first to tell you that. Gosh thanks to all of you. I do appreciate you votes of confidence it means a great deal to elderly people. I do get discouraged at times, you are the people that keep me going. Love to all, Norma
