Wonderful plants, Norma! I only know the trifasciata and the pinguicola. Can you post the names of the others?

Okiedokie, Norma. I'm a learner, too, and non-native speaker so I think if I could use Photobucket successfully, you wouldn't have any trouble. Let me write out instructions for you, in plain term so that "a 5 year-old can follow", right? I've seen you already posted a pic by yourself, that means you've got a Photobucket account right? Now you can use Photobucket to load (and keep) your photos and then share them with everyone online. 1- First, you need to Log In to Photobucket. In order to do that you type this sentence onto the browser of your Internet: http://photobucket.com/ and hit the Enter key on your keyboard. 2- Wait a while for the site to load and when the site opens, locate the box on the top right hand side, with the words "Join now. It's free". 3- Below the box "Join now. It's free", you will see two boxes. Please type your User name (the name you used to create your account) into the first box that says "Email or User name". 4- Then you type the password you gave Photobucket when you registered into the second box that says "Password". 5- Next, you click to check the small box infront of the words: Remember me. This will help Photobucket "remembers" your User name and Password and won't ask you to provide them again the next time you log in. 6- Finally, click the words "Log In" and you will be taken right to your Photobucket albums. Please do those above steps. When you are IN YOUR ALBUMS, we will start upload your photos to share. Xuan

I have been reading again, the adult plants are supposed to have no more then 7 leaves, color will come in the summer, they should be growing now. It can cost up to $25 even with just three leaves. I don't trade these unless I can get the equivalent in a trade. I do have four at different stages of growth. I don't have a business, so not interested in a sale. I have very intense sun here and use a 30% shade cloth. Email me privately what you have for trade. I am looking for interesting and different San. Haworthia, Crassula Very few people will have what I'm looking for so trading is a problem for me and has not been a good experience. Norma

Mike, I agree with you. Norma is very kind and generous. I have a bunch of leaves from my Hummel's that I am rooting and I am going to have fun giving them away. Norma has emailed me and given all kinds of sugestions. I need to hurry and post pictures of her generous cutting I recieved from her. Newbies like me can sure learn a lot from Norma if they listen to what she is saying. Thanks to her, I even checked out the website for Huntington Conservatory. I bet she has 10 very happy campers! Making a wreath - Norma?

Hi Suzie, Looks like you are in zone 6 Are you able to get HGTV flower Gardening book? there is an article in that Magazine. I use a premade wreath. Moss and soil. I do dampen mine down the day before. I also work with a plastic pot tray underneath, I take my cutting three days before. For a twelve inch wreath you will need 200+ cuts, if you want it to look grown in immediately. Ready for publication pictures. Wet in the center rim first with Crassula ovata or Portulacea green or trimmed with red or Christmas 2. next set in 7-9 rosettes of Sedum red color/or Echevieria 3. next set in the outside Crassula agentea (small form) 4. then use fillers, Sedum, Crassula, blue senecio serpens. yellow anything, silver glaucus plants, use you artistic talents, remember if you don't like it you can take it out, if the get too large cut them down, don't overwater, put flat in the tray and theb put it on top of an empty flat that has been put up side down. When you water take then out of their tray, do not let the wreath sit in water. Don't water for a month so the roots will form, I don't work with plants that have roots, just to hard to work with. Use hair pins or florist pins/ paper clips to hold the plants. You will learn as you go. It takes approxmately two hours to finish your first one. You can also punch in the last minute anything you have in flower. There is one I can't even recognize. I will need to go back and see what I sent. I'm not good at IDing a picture even if they are my own plants, how many pictures may I send, I don't want to bore you all to death. Norma

It would help the boredom considerably if you could, or would, identify your plants as you take the pictures; send them one or two at a time.

#4 S. canaliculata miniature form I grow it as a bonsai, and put it in a show this past year. The judges could not identify the plant. I'm not good at showing. Norma

If I could figure out how to get the names on my pictures directly I wouldn't be asking for help. I want them to show up directly here on the forum, not tucked away someplace else. It's an excellent idea I can't do it. Thanks for the suggestion. Norma

The one with the flower is S. aubrytiana and the flower this year was huge, 5" across, and at least 1 ft long, now it is a mature plant, the flower had a wonderful perfume to it and kept my whole house smelling like a bunch of fresh Roses. Really you can't tell what they are going to look like until the plant matures, so when the leaves are mature, then you can name them. Don't any one fool you that they can name a young leaf. You need to see the whole plant, many go through 3 different stages of development just like we do. I work with experts, and they are the first to tell you that. The more they know the more humble they are. Norma

Hi Norma,

Nice pix, are they in your greenhouse or at the Huntington pls?

I thought Lillian True was a variegate w/ white, this pix, the variegation looks very yellow, confusing?

I never knew there were so many types of Sans! I thought I only knew of one type! Learn something new everyday! Thanks for the pics and the knowledge!!

#4 is San. sp. aubrytiana, this past year it showed me 5 flower stems, about 5 " around covered with flowers. It was broght into the house, and perfumed my house for two weeks, opening a little at a time, that flower was 5" x l8" high. I did show a picuture #4 of a strance looking one. Well the next flowering was special. Now, those growths will not do that again, I will need to wait for new growth to get it to flower. The old growth will be given away, so it can go on a make new offsets for flowers. Thank you for posting my pictures. Any other volunteer to post the pictures for me? Norma

Those are my plant Karen, I have over 225 at this time. I do not have the new hybrids, nor the newly discovered plants yet. Norma
