Some Michigan grown cacti & succulents

Made a trip to Hidden Lake Gardens yesterday, to check out their arid dome. Pretty neat to see what they could grow.

A nice big porticula afra (squares on the walkway are about 3'x3'), backed by some kalanchoe that seemed awfully weedy:

The trunk on it - my hands are big enough to palm a basketball, to give you a sense of scale:

Hawarthia attenuata was all over the place; almost all of it was this shade of red:

Lots of Crassula corallina that had climbed out of its pot:

Opuntia ficus-indica; about 12' or so tall:

Ponytail palm of about the same size:

Kalanchoe tomentosa:

Couple of nice agaves:

Can't remember what this is, but it had obviously outgrown its space a few times:

Few more assorted pics. They had an olive tree growing that I forgot to take a pic of, and a few assorted cereus, as well. Not too many true cacti - e. grussoni was the most prevalent, and it was always potted, never in ground. A number of jades, and a lot of aloes. A number of sedums, but not as many as I expected, and a good number of euphobias - their tirucalli was probably about 6' tall, and had a nice thick stem. They also had a cork oak in ground, which was neat to see.
