Good morning brug lovers everyone

Good morning. Karmahappytoes sent you a e-mail I have a couple questions I wish I knew as much about brugs as you do I'm a work in progress.I have only been growing my noids for about 4 years. the hyberdizing it's fascinating.but i am wanting to know how to do that without having to read all those books.but if I have I guess I will.but would love to learn from you if you have the time

Greetings, Neighbor. Sorry to be so late to the party ... I just saw this. Your order now stands at 2 Reve d'Or 2 Cl. Eden 1 Cl. Pinkie Abraham Darby Carefree Beauty Double Delight am I right? I grow all of these except Cl. Eden. Reve d'Or is a baby now, and is going to be planted on the south wall of my house where it can get some heat. My friend in Lake of the Woods grows Reve d'Or brilliantly. (that's one plant) I am trying to contain Cl. Pinkie on an 8' arch. I think it would be happier, and show better, if planted on a fence where it could sprawl a bit. I love the foliage, and the thornless nature, and the flowers make me smile. Abraham Darby wants to get tall and it's self supporting. The one Olga grows in her yard is the best I've ever seen. I thought I had a photo of it, but I don't. Carefree Beauty is a large, lax, self supporting shrub. Double Delight grows like a typical modern hybrid tea, thick canes, straight up. I grow 800 roses, and I spray fungicide every two weeks. Bayer Advanced Disease Control (available at Lowes or specialty garden centers) is my choice. I do not spray insecticide in the garden! I let the birds and the good bugs strike a balance with the bad bugs, and it works for me. Make plans to come visit. I'm planning an Open House, and all GW friends are always welcome. Connie

The weather has been very cold this year everywhere in North America! Record low temps and high levels of rain/snow. So much for global warming! It is almost as though the planet is laughing at the 'science' that has come under such negative scrutiny lately! Temperatures here have not been record lows, but we have experienced temperatures consistantly below normal, well below normal! This week it is warming though and we are expecting near normal temps all week (50s during the day) I can't wait to spend a little time outdoors! November and December were soggy, January has been cold, my yard is a real mess! So glad that I came to this forum and started cuttings from my Brugmansia this year, I am sure to have some fatalities outside! I am very worried about the impact on US food production and other industries which may be adversely impacted by this seasons' weather. The potential impact on food prices in the coming year will affect many people who are struggling in a tough economy. I hope you all will have a wonderful day! and that the warming trend continues! Shirley you will love PA...he is such a great guy...as is his boss lady ;-) Hope you get to meet her also. hong Lee? ...shopping does not help...trust me, I spend tons of money rofl. But what helps is having gorgeous weather and being out all day. Then I am not sure if my body will survive ? roflmao. My mind is coming back to live though. So eager to post pictures too...BUT...in all the mess here...I can not find the cable and had little time today to do so. Great news is...Oma and Opa will have Maddy until spring break is over :-) More help in the garden. Now I will love going to the Nursery with Maddy this coming week. That should work for me . Can not wait to catch up on a lot that I missed...Sometimes you do dumb things...like staying away from the place you felt so great all the time! Lucy

Mike Wow, what alot of work. We have missed ya! Good luck with the babies on Sunday! I'm happy for the cooler weather, too, tho it feels awfully pre-Fall!! Hope your daturas make the move okey. Here is one of the Triple Cream's that you shared the seed of with me. This blossom actually has 4 skirts- the second one on this plant to have 4 skirts. There is lots of pollen on it, so I hope I get seedpods! Hope these photos give you hope for a stress=free and happy transfer of your daturas....... and all your plants!

Good Morning plantlover49, I'm working on that page for my www. I was told to do this in picture form and this is taking time to draw them out. I'll also give you pointer as to what to use too. This is what we do here so that will help. Hang tight it's coming.

I was taken away from this project due to a request from my Mom that had surgery this past week. I set up a place where she can sit and look at flowers from the garden. Hope you enjoy!

Karma, what lavender rose is that? I have been looking all over for blue moon for my daughter and couldn't find one so I ordered blue girl. It should be here Wednesday. I think blue moon was the one I used to grow that she misses so much or a cross from it. It was lavender and smelled spicey not sweet like some roses and you could smell it all the way across the yard. Hope you Mom is doing better.

Karma.great place you have. great pictures. I bet you work on your 25 hrs a day I just love your plants.how on earth do you do all that and have the time to do all your brug babies.by the way they are also beautiful.I bet your yard in the summer smells great,I won't ask you to count them.I just know you have many.I hope your mom is alright.give her our best wishes.hope everyone else has a wonderful day,we are enjoying almost 60 degrees day but it won't last it is feb.but we are that much closer to spring Elizabeth

Thank you for checking them out and I knew this would inspire you! Yes I love to be out in the gardens and could spend all day out there, it's a passion that has bloomed. Plantlover49, you really don't want to know the numbers out there and know they have their own special house that they share with the orchid cactus.
fool4flowers, that is Blue Girl which got huge this past year. All I did with that shot is hit the reduce the noise and that is what you see. I have another one that everyone wants cuttings of called Love Potion that is really pretty with the pink and red edges. Two more weeks and we will be cutting roses back!
