Friends & ALL Brug Lovers! :)

The move is almost over! Yay! I'm meeting the Internet/Cable guy between 9:00 & 11:00 this morning. I'll be finishing up & done by Sunday! This weekend - plants will all be moved! The weather is not as hot at the moment & some are already in pots & patiently awaiting their new home. It's been stressful, hectic, and alot of work - but well worth it!! :) Just wanted to touch base with everyone & let you know things are going good! (and I miss you all!) Have a super day & I'll be back!! :)

Great news Mike. Hopefully when you're done, you will be able to take a couple of days and just relax. Again, congrats on your new home.

The banana trees I have in my yard have held together quite well all year. They had a tear here or there but they maintained their "whole leaf" appearance for the most part. That was until the winds from Rita shreaded them a bit which I've added a picture of them below. Your friend must have lived in a very windy area since hers always seemed to have this appearance. Regardless of if they are sheaded or whole I still think they give a very tropical effect to any landscape. Plus they are very cheap and grow very fast. -Todd

Hi Chena have been lurking around here, my brugs seem to be waking up, ever so slowly but they are! I thought I had lost them all even that I had put them up, I am being brave this year I am slowly planting them in ground instead of leaving them in containers, wish me luck I am hoping they will get really big and come fall I can trim them back and start some cuttings in containers just in case they die on me over the winter and offer the rest in here a way of sharing my garden.By the way BGI is it .com or .net? I've put in for a Volunteer in Costa Rica. One of the reasons for going is to see the Birds there. Leaving in March hopefully. Heres what I read: With approximately 850 recorded bird species, the Costa Rica have one-tenth of the world's total . More than 630 are resident species ; the remainder are occasionals who fly in for the winter. Birds that have all but disappeared inn other areas still find tenuous safety in protected lands in Costa Rica, though many species face extinction from deforestation . So glad you are finishing the move. Been there - done that - and gonna have to do it again! You will enjoy it once you start getting the gardens in and transforming the yard!

Hey Mike we sure miss you I know you are glad this move is almost over,and I know your plants and puppies will all be glad for everybody to be in one place again,the house looks great.

Wow, what alot of work. We have missed ya! Good luck with the babies on Sunday! I'm happy for the cooler weather, too, tho it feels awfully pre-Fall!!

Hope your daturas make the move okey. Here is one of the Triple Cream's that you shared the seed of with me. This blossom actually has 4 skirts- the second one on this plant to have 4 skirts. There is lots of pollen on it, so I hope I get seedpods!

Good to hear everything is going good Mike. While watering my mind was wondering about that. When everything is done we should have a housewarming party :-)
Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I LOVE those Dat pics. they look awesome!! thanks for sharing.
I skipped a few times watering and the punishment is that even bigger buds are falling off :-( So not much going on here besides trying to keep everything alive.

it is exhausting, but well worth it!
It will be so nice when your all settled in!
Brenda what a beautiful datura! I love the cream colored
ones, I planted some from Mike also and have two buds
looking forward to seeing them in person!
