Have you made cuttings from leucophyllum?

Hi everyone,

Have you successfully propagated a leucophyllum from stem cuttings before? If so, can you share how? I've seen a few references online but they are sort of vague (you know, they say "propagation via cuttings" but they don't say when, or what type (hardwood, soft wood, semi-ripe) or what method (water, soil, perlite, etc)).

I am asking because there is one at a planting at work that has a couple of variegated branches (I'm a variegated plant nut as most of you know) and I'd love to propagate it. Any tips/tricks? Yes, I'm sure it's variegated and not disease or dry leaf ends etc.

I've grown tons of leucophyllums from seed, and division, but never from cuttings, so any help would be great. I'm really concerned that the landscape crews are going to shear off this neat growth so the sooner the better, LOL.

Thanks very much,

Take care,

Grant
