What you have learned your first year WS

I will start this tread for all the newbies who have WS the first time this year. What I have learned is....

Sow lighter. It seems that the seedlings that are too bunched together grow slower.

DO NOT sow tomatoes and peppers early in the winter. I sowed mine in January and had little to no success! I've had better success with volunteers coming up from last year, so those have become my tomatoes transplanted into the garden this year. It will be a surprise what type they are since I had 5 varieties last year.

Make sure that you use a marker on your container that will NOT wear away from the weather. I had a few containers that I planted out and have NO idea what they are!

Anything else??
