First WS tomato sprout!!!

FINALLY, I have a WS tomato sprout! I was getting seriously worried, and brought the containers into the unheated garage for the past couple of nights. Apparently, that was enough to do the trick. Today, I found a 'Super Sweet 100' sprout when I was watering my containers. Now I know the rest can't be far behind. I'm sure they will catch up to the indoor sown ones pretty quick.

Yippee! Yippee! Yippee!

We have a freeze warning tomorrow night, and a chance of snow in the forecast for Thursday and Friday, so I guess it's back to the unheated garage for the next couple of nights for the tomatoes, basils (which are just starting to sprout), and the zinnias.

BTW, most of my perennials are planted out now, except for a few that haven't germinated yet. Do you guys think the annuals - gazanias, verbenas, calendulas, and african daisies (dimorphotheca) need extra protection, or will putting the top half of the container back on be enough for them?
