my own rosey crisis

gael.christie

the crisis isn't the fractured leg that has kept me off my feet for 4+ months, but the dozens of roses i just planted in a newly dug bed a/o relocated.

full sun, no water and lack of care has left many with but a single frail and spindly cane struggling to survive.

still cannot walk, but i have recently been able to reach some of them with water, but i think it may be too little too late.

so, what is the best shot for getting the survivors healthy heading into a cold and sometimes brutal upstate ny winter?

i am actually considering giving them a dose of diluted liquid fertilizer even tho it is so late in the season. thinking, if i could just get even a few leaves going, even if they die back w/ the upcoming cold, maybe that little bit of photosynthesis might be enough ...

any advice would be appreciated. thanks in advance, christie
