Hi hartwood, Your list of found roses that you grow is impressive, and I love your photo of "Bryan Freidels Pink Tea" is it available in commmerce? I grow seveal found roses, my favorites are "Angels Camp Tea" "Rockhill Peach Tea" and "Secret Garden Musk Climber" "Angels Camp Tea" was found in the gold rush country of California and it is a breathtakingly subtle rose. A freind who saw it in bloom this week said just one word regarding its blooms; "Exquisite". It's one of those roses that appears to be lit from within. To me it appears alabastor overlaid with pale cameo pink, touched with peach in the center, with a lick of amber at the base of its petals. In the full hot sun of August it produces pure white blooms. "Hauselt Plot Tea" Pretty and pink, and blooms every month in my garden from March through November. I bought this at a Sacramento Cemetary sale. Little scent to my nose. "Rockhill Peach Tea" I like the color of this Tea very much. It is a pleasant hue of peach, and the plant is quite healthy. "Catos Cluster" Noisette. I love its' soft grey green leaves, pretty pink cupped roses that have a slight lilac tint in cool weather. Not much scent to my nose but I like "C.C." better than the more popular "Blush Noisette" "Georgetown Tea" re-blooms as soon as I turn my back on it. It is quite suseptible to p.m.. in my garden near the North Calif. coast, but it produces very lovely flowers. "Secret Garden Climbing Musk" One of the best of all roses, in my opinion and I thank God that Joyce D. saved it from extinction. Found roses I wish I had room for; "Westside Road Cream Tea" found by Phillip Robinson, not far from his home in Northern Califorina. Its' cream colored roses are produced against a bushy background of light green leaves. One of the smaller roses of the Tea class, when mature it makes a very pretty bush of about 4 feet tall. "Secret Garden Noisette" One of the most fragrant of all Noisette roses. I held one bloom between my fingertips, to smell it, and its' strong scent lasted for well over 2 hours on my hand. The color of bloom can be a bit stark white in full hot sun, but its' bright pink petal edges do not fade. Luxrosa

LOL!! Annie, I was looking at your pictures (for like the 4th time) again thinking "OMG!! This garden is gorgeous!!" Then I read further down the replies and saw yours comparing your gardens to mine and others. Don't be silly!! Your garden is absolutely beautiful. When I saw the picture of your patio area I thought I'd sit there all day if I were you and not get anything done because I'd just be staring at the beauty all around. The color you have in your garden is amazing. I think it's great that everyone on this forum has quite different gardens and they are all very special. I love seeing what everyone is doing in their garden and what beauty they are creating. Sometimes I think my garden is too "stiff", but yours is so wonderful and carefree and I am going to use tips from your photos to relax mine in certain areas. I can't even believe you have so many reblooming iris. I remember hearing about them on the cottage forum but figured there weren't all that many. Holy cow! Your iris are beautiful. Do you know the names of any of them? Just how many roses do you have?!?!? Do they require a lot of maintenance or do you plant less "fussy" roses? I'd love to know which ones you think pretty much do their own thing and don't require a lot of work. I need more iris and roses in my garden!!

thanks the bottom one is in the garden, sorry I didn't make that one clear ;^D pot ghettos interspersed in the garden doesn't help ID ing this one is too large a bloom and too smelly for Dorothy Perkins (rofl) I just hacked back a jungle of it at my other house thank you for giving me more info, though...if it's a oncebloomer it may be my only shot

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Barb! look at all of those flowers! Those violets are pretty but they are a real pest here! spread like wiregrass! You really make me miss tulips too! (I knew winter was good for something!) Is that a trillium at the top! I can't remember the last time I saw a trillium!I am sorry to hear that Al has pain, I have suffered from hip/joint pain for several years, the doctors have told me the best treatment is 'keep moving' grrrr, sometimes it is very tough to do. Regina I am happy that you are getting some rain! (I hate to complain about water from the sky but it is still raining off and on here! The plants are loving it, but it sure makes it unpleasant outside (muggy, mosquitos and soggy) That Brug is beautiful! I can't wait till mine bloom, I have 3 potted and one in the ground, I just love those leaves! Even if they didn't have flowers My elephant ears hit the ground running too, all this water really perked them up. I cannot believe the size of the leaf on one of them (Is it my imagination or are those leafs still growing?!?!)
