Hi Joe -
I just got mine this year from Vintage. Still in a pot, so too soon to comment on growth. Has had one bloom on a very small plant and it was delicious.
Looking forward to watching it mature.

Mine's been in the ground about 3 years now. She grew almost like a groundcover rose and bloomed very little the first year. In my climate, she had sickly yellowing leaves through the summer. But she has improved quite a bit this season, she's bloomed beautifully. Upright canes, healthy leaves, good rebloom.

Mine is new - got it last year as a band and it went in the ground this spring. No new growth so far, so I would say NOT vigorous! This rose and only 1 other (Gruss an Coburg) are kind of "stuck" and thinking about growing but not actually doing it. Neither are blooming yet, either.
But I saw this one in person at Vintage and it was so wonderful - in late summer - that I had to have it. So I still have high hopes for it.

Joe, here's a photo from the first season. Mme Wagram's canes were often growing very close to the ground, blooms sometimes balled. She may be gearing up for some fall blooms - I'll take a photo then and post. For now, this is from 2 years ago.
