Miscanthus, Hameln, Japanese sedge grass: tell me about these

I know little about grasses: tell me about these if you have any of them. I am looking for these for a dry area next to my house that is hard to water. I like the way grasses look but they get too big for most of my garden. I have been looking at grasses in public gardens but those donÂt have signs attached: hard to know if what you get in a pot will grow up to be.

Today I bought gallon sized pots of:

Morning Light Maiden Grass (Miscanthus sinensis),

Cabaret Grass (Miscanthus sinensis var. condensatus)

Hameln Fountain Grass

"Old Gold" Japanese Sedge grass (Carex oshimensis "Evergold")

I read the tags for size, not til I got them home did I read that all but the second one are for semi-moist conditions (!). I had assumed that all ornamental grasses would work in dry areas. If you know anything about the dry vs. moist conditions, please let me know.

Thanks!
