The wedding day started with no electricity, and everything coated in ice.

The groom, Miciah, helping Jim figure out what all of his "parts" are for, lol!

I love this shot, she looks terrified!

My big brother Chuck. He married the happy couple.

When I saw this picture....

...it made me think of this picture. My little girl sure grew up fast!

The ice all melted, and everything turned to mud. This is Miciah's niece, the "snowflake girl", doing what kids do best :)

What a great day it was, I'm so happy for those two kids. All the music was by the Beatles, and Christina walked down the aisle to "Imagine". Not a dry eye in the house ;)

And it looks like a fun one too! Great pictures.... Was the wedding at your place? We got married under the peach tree in Randy's parents backyard. I have a definite fondness for at-home weddings :-)

Uh-oh! Posted this in the wrong place! Oh, well, I'll post a link and direct everyone here, lol!

The wedding was at Christina and Miciah's house. After we found out that Chuck was sick, they moved the wedding up and scaled it back. It was to have been the 4th of September. He wouldn't have been there. I admire the two of them so much for doing that. Christina always wanted Chuck to marry her, that was the most important thing to her. I love an "at home" wedding, too. It was the perfect little wedding for those two.

I wondeerded if you knew him gb... I mentioned that we had a friend in the area but didn't give you name. We didn't see the thyme path or the horses (no peacocks or roosters either :-) but we did meet Sasha (a rescued Golden Retriever). I would have liked to have met the horses but I didn't want to ask; since he was kind enough to take the time to welcome unexpected visitors, I didn't want to interrupt his day too much! We spent some time discussing Christmas ornaments with him - some of his antique ornaments were similar to what my grandparents had on their Christmas trees. I would have loved to see more of the property - definitely a place to take Idyll visitors! We will include Mapleton Organics in a future visit! Now that we have the address from the link you provided, we can program it into the GPS thingy... The GPS was a handy 'toy' to have. It did lead us astray a couple of times - but only because we had input the wrong town in the address (e.g. when we were trying to find that house, we thought it was in Fergus so the GPS kept trying to send us south instead of north! Once we changed the town to Center Wellington, it took us to the right place. It was a fun trip!

Well thanks everyone...I enjoyed sharing it. Its really nice to have someone (s) :-) to share your thoughts and feelings with! Mary, Im not sure because my photo album is a little out of order now. Would you believe we took 350 pictures while in England? LOL! Anyway, some of the pictures got out of sequence, but I think the picture you are asking about is either the Cotswolds or from Cheltenham? I love England. It really felt like a 2nd home to me...the people there are truly the nicest and most genuine Ive ever met. I hope to get the chance to go back some day. Funny too, my dad would always said that the one bright spot while serving in the war was when he was stationed in England. He loved the people there and always told us how kind and friendly they were to the young soldiers so far from home. He was always so grateful for that. :-) I wish he would have had the chance to visit there again during peace time, but after the war dad refused to fly anymore. Yes Woody, I dont always succeed either, but I tell my self its good to have a goal! :-) And you are right PM, actually, that is why I write down/save the things that touch me because I "forget" and it helps me get back on track and inspires me when I need a lift. Marian...it is a lot of work, but if you ever did decide to do it I know it would be something the girls would cherish forever. Im sure you have some wonderful stories and important memories to share with them. Ei

Your kitchen is beautiful!! Who knew choosing a paint color would be this difficult?!?LOL I really like wedgewood gray and this is possibly the color for DD(10) bedroom's. Thank goodness she hated the pale pink once it was on her walls and we're more then happy to repaint her room. Do you have any inspiration pictures? The colors that you've narrowed down are so different in style but nonetheless they're very pretty. I think sarchlos and nanabella are on the right track with a taupey gray to compliment the gray floor tiles and beige carpet. I'm sorry I wasn't of more help. I have quite a sample boards of BM colors if you'd like I can post pics. OOH, what fun! Looks like a wedding with loads of personal touches and memories. What a wonderful shot of Snowflake Girl! All the photos are terrific...and the gorgeous tearful bride reminds me of my DD's wedding as well. :)

These photos are so wonderful, Brenda, and everyone looks so happy. I just love the shots of DD before and after...in her socks! You must cry buckets when you look at these. And I agree, a precious thing they did so that your DB could be there.

I haven't been on this forum much so I don't know you but wanted to congratulate the groom, wish the bride the best and tell the MIL what a beautiful daughter she has. I wish them happiness.

what interests me the most.. wedding aside.. is that there is actually a flower/garden lover who isnt a hundred years old.. like the rest of us... lol ...

Thanks for all the kind remarks :) As a matter of fact, they're both into gardening. It's so fun to listen to them planning how it will all be.

Mayhem, here ya go. This was it for flowers, and they were fake :/ The place was decorated within an inch of it's life for Christmas. The wedding was Dec. 27th.

Hi Brenda :-) I'm glad you have some time to look through all your wedding photos and enjoy them now. So great that there are these uplifting and happy times along the way, isn't it? Your daughter's dress was so beautiful! I love that photo of the six of you. Such happy looking newlyweds! And the photo right under it, they look relaxed and content. My favorite has to be the two of DD in her socks. Sad and happy at the same time, that they are all grown up. Congratulations!
