What cultivars are that disease prone for you in Z10 SoCal?

I did not buy all of those -- just thought it was a good sale. Actually, I just bought the Mancozeb and the Turbo Spreader/Sticker. I'll use it in rotation with Banner Maxx and Compass --

And yes, here in my little canyon by the sea, spraying is absolutely necessary. But I also refuse to sp things I like, disease or no disease -- it's just a choice.
And I do grow a lot of strange, unique and older varieties that are Disease Prone with a capital DP. Walking around my yard just now, the following cultivars are STILL showing significant powdery mildew, even now with the weather behaving reasonably well.

Papageno (the winner for most mildew all the time)
Ballerina (first runner up)
The McCartney Rose (second runner up)

The following are also showing significant mildew now: O'Rilla, Anvil Sparks, Signature, World Peace, Granada, Tiffany, Double Delight, Mint Julep, Rubens, Mrs. Oakley Fisher, Oklahoma, Takao (my favorite rose), Estelle, Power Point, Caledonia, Gruss An Achen, Harry Wheatcroft, Memphis Music (aka Abracadabra), Folklore, French Lace, Joshua Bradley, Here's Gert, The Temptations, World Peace, Jennifer Hart, Moonlight Magic and the new one, Peppermint Swirl.

And this is despite spraying no more than 10 days apart (and usually more like 7 days) with Banner Maxx or Compass, and/or other things that I put into the rotation occasionally, (which is why I bought the Mancozeb).

You could say the disease pressure is very high here.

Jeri, what if she has rust, PM, canker and blackspot and anthracnose?
For example I had never even seen spot anthracnose until I oredered from NorEast. (the plants looked perfect when they arrived) I had never had the kind of blackspot I now have that came with an order from a place which shall remain nameless. I think when you order from around the country you end up with a lot of fungus you don't normally/ natively have.
This is the first year I have ordered roses. I had always bought potted nursery roses. I am assuming this is par for the course (?) and didn't expect it being a newbie. So, yes, neem oil, etc. to the rescue!

There are roses she really wants to grow, and they have disease problems.

There are roses I enjoyed, which had disease problems, unless sprayed.
Spraying triggered seizures, in a dog we loved.
The roses that demanded spraying are gone.
I'm OK with that.

I live on a hillside.
The well from which our water is drawn is more or less downhill from here.
I'd rather not see chemicals I added leaching down into the ground-water.

It is a matter of choice, but If I can't grow roses without using stuff I don't want in my drinking water, or which will cause a dog to seizure, I'll give up those roses.

I live in a county whose major industry remains agriculture.
I see how the chemicals used over the past century have polluted the creeks, not to mention the soil. That bothers me.

We all make choices, and perfection in my roses is not a priority. If, in a really bad spring I have a few foliage problems, so be it.
I can live with that, and so can my dogs, and the local bees.
