Leaves standing upright lea(ves growing down
Comments (1)I find some tend to grow upwards a bit, but some varieties also like more light than others., especially the dark green leaved ones. If possible try more light. If the plants look good otherwise, bloom, and it doesn't really bother you I think it's fine....See MoreWall down, should we frame it more or leave all open?

Comments (4)I hope other more experienced growers can give some advice on what exactly to do with the plant, but there's one thing that you have to be aware of-sunburn. "so I placed the plant on my balcony 2 days ago to really give it some heavy direct sunlight throughout the day." If you just took the plant and plopped it out in direct sun with no prior acclimation I'm pretty sure a couple leaves will sunburn. If you want to put the plant outside then I would first leave it in an area that recieves ambient light from the sky with no direct sun. After a week passes, leave the plant out in brighter light for an hour, then the next day for two hours, etc. until the plant is left in direct sun for the entire day. "He said the plant could survive with no drainage... just water it once a week with 2 cups of water and provide it with lots of sunlight." Definitely untrue-I'm pretty certain that no plant can grow properly in a pot with no drainage. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure of this. Transferring the plant to a pot with drainage will definitely make both your life and the plant's life easier. Where approximately do you live?...See MoreYucca recurvifolia yellow/brown leaves
Comments (8)i have several yuccas . this plant is one of the easiest plant to grow, it doesnt need any thing to do with it just from time to time water it let it dry sometimes forget to water it . and you can put it in a place with low light or high light or direct sun but not summer sun . best place is near the window . in your case i think you should cut the older leaves becoz every leaves has age when their time finished the leaves starts to die . so before that time you cut them so the power will go to other or above leaves and starts to grow a new leaf faster . i have a very tall yucca since last 3 years iam looking after it when my father gifted me was around 2 metres tall but now its around 4-5 metres tall its like a tree now ....See Morelilsprout
