My Mrs. is around 4 feet at about 4 years old. Careless Love about 3-3 and 1/2 and Red Radiance stays around 4 for me. The ones at Vintage were all around 5 feet which is where my own roots came from. They will last about 3 days in the vase so for me they are definitely cuttable if for no other reason than that their fragrance is a blessing on the air and I love that scent in the house.For people whose cut flowers must last a week, this is not for them. I'll tell you a storey. I was out by the walk in late afternoon when my neighbor walked by with a miserable dark look on his face. I said "rough day at work?" He nodded grimly. I plucked an open bloom of Red Radiance and handed it to him with a "smell this." He buried his face in it and came up with a glowing happy face. I said "better?". He continued smiling and said "Gone. All gone". Now that is a rose worth cutting. la

Summers, I have Mrs. BR Cant in my zone 6 pocket of my yard, and while she's one of the teas that I've been able to keep alive over 6 or 7 years, she's hardly very large. No more than 4' or so tall, which is obviously laughable in contrast to Adam's great pictures from a warmer zone, but she might do OK in a pot in our zones. My bigger concern for growing her in a pot in our cold zones is hardiness. I've found that growing roses in a pot can lower hardiness as much as a zone, and in zone 6a you can't afford that with a tea. If you're planning to move her inside a protected spot for the winter like a garage, that's another thing. However remember that teas don't necessarily go dormant like hybrid teas do in the winter, so it'll still need water and some care during the cold months. If you keep it outside as I do, I recommend some winter protection methods. You could wrap burlap or other protection around the pot as well as rose with some sort of insulating material, and it might counteract the downside of being in a more exposed pot to the winter winds. An own root gallon of Talisman, Climbing (climbing sport of Talisman) arrived here mid-April from Angel Gardens in Alachua, FL. It gets full sun from 10-4, perched in a pot on stone steps that burn bare feet in the heat of the day. Well branched & ready to flush again for the fifth time this year, there's been nothing whimpy about it. The blooms are surprisingly large for such a young plant, confections of apricot, copper, pink & amber gold with strong rich perfume of fruit & spice. They held a week or more in high heat & humidity before shedding their petals. Very impressed with its clean foliage so far in this no spray garden. Both bush & climbing versions are considered nearly thornless, and this one's shown no thorns as yet, another plus for placement & especially appreciated in a climber. Loving this one!

Of the 3, K.A.V. has the least disease resistance where I live near San Francisco, Ca but it still is rarely affected by anything but a bit of blackspot. It is very pretty. I don't adore the scent but then no one has to smell a rose. Mme. Jules Bouche, has bare lower limbs, and needs regular fertilizing for the blooms to be large and shapely otherwise my plant produces a large number of small and somewhat shapeless blooms. Very nice fragrance. I've found it roots easily from cuttings. At its' best it is sublime. One of the great white roses, F.K.D. cannot hold a flame to it. (Oh dear, that abbreviation appears a bit vulgar) Mrs. Herbert Stevens. I'm very fond of this rose, the climbing form can be grown as a large self -standing shrub of c. 8 ' by 8' and it blooms here nearly as often as the Tea roses, starting just after M.A.C. begins in February or March, and blooms frequently through mid-December. I like its' type of fragrance best of all the 3. A little p.m. occasionally but nothing that I can't ignore. I'd choose Mrs. Herbert Stevens of all the 3, but I'd miss Mm.e Jules Bouche if I didn't have her. K.A.V. is too strongly an H.T. for my Tea rose longings, I don't know what I was thinking when I ordered it , swept away by reports of it being very fragrant, when I don't like its type of scent which reminds me of the type of scent that very old perfume leaves in the bottom of a old purse of a very old lady.
