The EER roses that I grow have no fragrance to my nose but they are stellar perfomers. The first year I had Sunrise Sunset it black spotted so badly that I moved it to the empty lot. Well you'd know it. Shes the most beautiful rose now. No spray hardly any fertilizer and it gives back an endless supply of flowers. I bought two more of them. I have read several times that its breeders main concern is good heath. I've loved every one of his roses that I've perchased. Have a nice day. Pat

I know a lot of people love KO, but where I live they are so ubiquitous I'm tired of them! My limited experience: I had one pink Flower Carpet, for me I was not impressed - it grew well enough, but only seemed to have one flush and then I read these roses are closely bred to rugosas, so you may not see continuous flowering as claimed. Eventually got SP'd was fed up with the thorny flowerless weediness. Easy Elegance: I was just admiring my bursting with growth own-root (from Home Depot 2 years ago) Macy's Pride and Funny Face Easy Elegance roses this morning. (Maybe all EEs are own-root). I treated these terribly the first year, left them in the original pots, they were down to a few spindly shoots. Now planted in baking sun front yard in not the greatest soil (though they did get fertilized) and they have really bushed out and shot up, with multiple buds. I do have some light black spot low down but then stupidly planted them (3) too close together, I will fix that next year. Based on this small experience I would buy more Easy Elegance tomorrow, if I could. PS. My front soil is horrible rocky clay that was amended a bit with organics, nevertheless the roses are happily sharing space with a Japanese spirea and some other shrubs. Easy care bushes!

I love growing plants from seed but have had varying success with germination. This year I started some seeds inside according to the best moon phase and so far, I have had the best germination ever. I prefer sowing seeds directly in the ground and did that a week and a half ago. I still have more to plant but I don't want to wait until the next best phase so I think this will be a good opportunity to see if there is any difference. Hi abwhitney: In lieu of an expensive frameless shower door, many people on this forum have opted for a shower curtain instead. You can get a curved shower curtain rod or a straight one and then a liner and the actual shower curtain. There are a lot of nice shower curtains with large grommets that will give a modern look and are machine washable. I saw a nice, clean white shower curtain with the big grommets at Lowes this weekend. In terms of a bathtub, I think Kohler has quite a few to choose from. If you have the room, I suggest you look at the Kohler expanse tub. It's acrylic and easy to clean. I agree with pricklypearcactus in that large ceramic 10 x 13 or porcelain tiles will be easier to clean and much more low maintenance than marble or natural stone. Many tile manufacturers make ceramic and porcelain tile that mimic the natural stones quite nicely. For ventilation purposes, many on this forum recommend the Panasonic Whisper vent fan. I'm not where the intersection of modern versus contemporary lies for you, but Duravit and IKEA make wonderful vanities for space constrained areas.
