Actual Height Of Yoshino Cherry

We have just planted a 7 foot Yoshino Cherry in the corner of our lot. We live in York County SC, on a corner lot and wanted to block the view of a home that was built diagonal from us that has let their yard just be destroyed with weeds, non-mowing, dying bushes etc.... anyway I asked the nursery for a tree that was fast growing and that had a good spread so we were able to not see the house from our front porch. They suggested a Yoshino Cherry. We purchased it and planted it 16 feet both sides in from the corner of our lot (this is where the two streets intersect also). After reading some information on these trees, and calling the nursery back, they are telling me this tree will grow 50 feet high with about a 40 foot spread! Is this true and if so is it possible to prune this tree to keep it not so large. If not im thinking we need to move it pretty darn quick!

Thanks for any information on this.
