Tips for Photographing Roses

I have seen some of the most spectacular photos of roses on GardenWeb. Wondering if some of you amazing photographers would like to share in some of your secrets. Especially for "whole bush" shots.

Do you have a time of day when you think you get the best photos?

A place where you prefer to have the sun in relation to your focal point?

Best luck in placing yourself for bush shots - top views / side views - angled or not angled, etc.

Do you get those "20" different rose shots, everyone perfect - all on the same day, or do you wait on each individual bush or rose to try to capture it in its finest form?

Any techniques you'd like to share?

I didn't think getting good photos would be so incredibly difficult!
