Progress in my Garden and a few Pretty Faces

This is the workshop garden, which consists of primarily polyanthas and a few gallicas around a small interior courtyard. It's on the backside of my husband's workshop and garage.

I've been working on this topiary chicken sitting on a nest for three years now. It still doesn't quite have a head. Can you tell how many chicks she has?

This is the other side of the workshop garage. It is my answer to "what do you do with a long white wall"? The door is a junk yard rescue, the window was $5. The cat always wants out. It's not finished, but it's getting better.

I'm trying to grow roses in the woods, gallicas, r. glauca, 'Lyda Rose', and 'Redoute's Red', a noisette. It is very slow growing.

Two vege raised beds and a small terraced area for some berries and dwarf apples. One day I hope to finish cutting back the sword fern/blackberry/stinging nettles to plant a few more gallicas and a couple of ramblers.

Pretty faces ...

It's not often that the colors are so perfect together. Accident... 'Gilda' and 'Pilau'
