My adenium seedlings are rotting. Please help.
Comments (11)It wouldn't be damage from a centipede. Fungus gnat larvae are extremely small and not easily seen in the soil. Excessive watering often encourages an infestation and the roots end up looking just like the one pictured. The end of the root is gone as well as any small root hairs. What zone are you in? Unless it's maybe 10 a or b I can't imagine a need for daily watering, even with a well draining potting mix and wind. If you aren't in a very warm climate your seedlings should probably be inside, at least at night. I still think it looks like something is eating the root as it appears healthy. If there was rot the root would likely be soft and discolored....See MoreEmergent, help please, my lovely goldfish has been bitten.

Comments (25)Ben - thats an interesting article. Yes , all my grafted plants comes from RareImports, they get them from Thailand. For me its cheaper to drive 30 min to RareImports as they are based in WA. I did look at importing myself, but, the treatment of plants and permit cost too much. Also, I spoke to the owner few weeks ago, he told me the whole shippment container of Adenium got destroyed as they found 1 sick plant, they didnt treat the single plant they destroyed all, he wasn't happy. So I think its risky to import, especially in the WA where they have tough importing laws. I think I'm lucky living 30 min drive from RareImports nursery :)...See MorePlease help! I’m desperate. Hardwood flooring has been discontinued!
Comments (41)We made the same error as you did with similar results. But, I learned a valuable lesson. Lesson learned? Always finish the job b/c it's very difficult to find and match materials later. Our engineered hw was very similar to yours. We stopped at practically the same place, I convinced myself that carpet in the living/dining room was just fine (and mine was better than yours--no offence). After 2 years, all I could focus on, was getting rid of that old carpet and why didn't we put hw everywhere when we had the chance. In the end, I pursued relentlessly until I found the last of our flooring at a discount flooring store in California. We are in Canada and thankfully it all worked out. Our old installer was able to lift up some of the adjoining floor boards and fully integrate the new material. No one and I mean no one believes it was done 2 years apart, but we were very lucky. The dye lots were a good match and the width of the boards were exact. But I will repeat-----don't do this! Always finish the job, or at the very least, purchase the material and store it until you can finish the job....See Moreilovetogrow z9 Jax Florida
