A view off my patio.

It is going to be pretty soon. The roses are starting to come open but not there yet except for this one in lots of sun.

I can't believe that you are still waiting! Except for the hybrid teas, I am almost bloomed out!

I just finished my first flush and thats all HT's, you really should be getting blooms any second now Rita. Have your nights been cold?

Thanks ya'll, really looking forward to them all , hope I don't lose any and they all flourish in my yard:) I plan on potting them up first on one gallon pots and planting in the fall, that will leave me all summer to pick the perfect spot, although some of them already have their homes picked. Wish me luck and feel free to leave any much appreiciated advice, Ingrid I do beleive it may have been you along with a couple of other people who suggested chinas and teas so these are what I came up with with my research and personel favorites after searching :) I hope I didn't overdo it but these are the ones I wanted, and loving roses is addictive, though I don't believe I will be ordering this much at one time again. They do come in at seperate times so I will have a break in between potting:)

Tim, I defiantly would like to line up a trade for later this spring. We have had several 65-70 degree days, so I at least have winter bloomers, camellia in full swing, hellebores and hundreds of spring bulbs. We have many of the same hostas, but I think we should be able to come up with 6-7 equal plants to trade. Some of mine are quite large. I write a gardening article so I like to make trades that I can share with my viewers. I will review your list and send a request and please do the same with my list. I can also add some plants that do well with hostas as I have woodland garden perennials that seed well in the compost I make. Primroses start to show up in February but they're meant to be house plants. Although I do plant them out when it gets warmer. Pansies are always the first outdoor plants to be available here. Usually in March sometime. And of course I never can resist them, lol! As for weeds...UGH! They are epidemic! I have never, ever had weeds like I do now. A few purslane and dandelions but controllable. Not anymore. they are rampant and varieties I've never seen before. It's very daunting because because I just don't know how to get a handle on them. I never got out last season so all those weeds are still out there growing in this crazy too warm for January weather. HELP! Malorena, that isn't, by any chance, some kind of Loosestrife is it? Since my delightful "Master Gardener" neighbor planted it in her yard (and she should have known better) I've been battling it like crazy. It's on the invasive plant list for Michigan! What was she thinking! Hang in there, Melissa! Things should perk up soon. Ooo, Karen, can't wait to see pics of your rose babies! Ikayetwtv, love the bird art! Jackie, too cold there, too warm here, what is going on?! I have some things starting to grow here WAY too early. Even a few roses have tried to sprout some leaves. You know that will all be toast when the bottom falls out of the temps on us.

They are popping now as the days have been warmer. I think all that cold we had last week slowed them down. Of course, they still will be very early compaired to last year.

They are going to look really good this year.

Looking marvelous Rita, what is the yellow rose in front? Such a beautiful rose.

I bet that is a great eye catcher to all your passing by traffic.

Thanks. I love this time of year when the spring flush is just getting going really well. I go out and look at the roses so many times each day. I can't help myself :-))

I'm so jealous!!! It's been snowing!!! We have about 3 inches on the ground. Blech. Where oh where is spring???? Spring flush seems like a dream!!

On the other hand - I LOVE, LOVE looking at all of your flowers. Thanks!!
