Comments (4)Along with the great advice that bunnygurl offered, keep it in the most warmest and sunniest spot in your home, and it will thrive...preferably a south facing window sill.. Also be aware of pests..In particular thrips and mites..;-) No need for fertilzer all winter if it is kept cool. If kept warm, 1/4 strentgh at waterings.. Goodluck... Comments (1)I can't remember which growing season is the right one for peppers and tomatoes likely the summer one, but yes, it is true that there are two. Many annuals are planted now for fall, winter and early spring color. Then a different set of annuals are planted for late spring and summer color. When you grow in containers make sure you don't use garden soil, buy quality potting soil. It is advised to water slowly and thoroughly using a drip system is possible in containers and saves money and your time. Some plants that needed full sun in the Midwest may need partial shade in AZ. You can grow many favorites such as roses and cannas and there are a lot of great new plants for you such as Bougainvillea, hibiscus, Mexican bird of paradise, tropical bird of paradise, assorted palms and you can grow just about any houseplant outdoors if you have shade and keep them watered. You can also do up a watergarden in a barrel and grow a tropical waterlily....See MoreNewbie looking for advice....Where to buy Desert Rose seeds?
Comments (6)I have 30 plus seed pods on my plant and am checking every day (several times), waiting for them to open. I will send you some if you will send me your mailing address. I have about 15 plants that I have started from seed and a couple I have started from cuttings. I usually plant over 20 seeds and am lucky to get 5 or 6 plants that make it. I will send you one of the pods (once they open) so you have a chance on getting some starts. I searched the internet for info on how to plant them and there are several articles on how to do it. If anyone else out there needs seeds, I will gladly send you some...I have too many plants for a sane person to take care of....See Morekeylyn
