Auto drip line constantly dripping
Comments (3)This wasn't installed recently, it's been there for at least 3 years (as long as I've lived in the house). Zones 2-6 are all for different areas of the lawn. Only zone 1, the drip line linked to the timer, is for the shrubs. There is also a manual drip line for vegetables and flowers in the back, but not connected to the automated drip line. For the most part all the sprinkler heads throughout the lawn are standard pop-up sprinkler heads, there are a couple of the adjustable rotor heads in the back. Comments (10)One suggestion is to find a sprinkler head you don't need (like a popup sprinkler used for shrubs that are mature enough that they no longer need irragation) or you can install a new 1/2" outlet to your existing system. Then all you need to do is attach a drip head conversion kit. It allows you to run up to eight 1/4" microtubes from the single head and you can regulate the flow/pressure to each tube. You can buy the converter at the big box stores. I've used them for years and have had no problems with pressure. I've included a link to the conversion kit sold on the Drip Store. If your gas line is to small you might have to resize it. You will have to have a tech check this out to advise you. later paulbm...See MoreDrip System off main line with 100psi
Comments (4)most simple plastic pressure reducers don't reduce static pressure; the water flow needs to be within the rated flow range of the reducer to work correctly. These type of reducers must be installed after a shutoff valve. If you need to reduce static pressure you need to use a brass pressure reducer....See Morelehua49
