Please Help. Gas Dryer and Gas Heater line pressure problems

I have a condo with a gas heater and gas dryer. The heater has not been providing heat and I was told by the maintenance guy that the dryer is reducing the line pressure and not providing adequate pressure for the igniter to ignite.

The heater is 10+ years old.

I realize the uncertainty of not having pressure readings, but I haven't seen the Gas Company report yet.

I still have to ask:

This sounds plausible, but does it happen with any regularity?

Could the newer, bigger dryer lower the gas pressure that much (I haven't seen others with this issue)?

Would a newer heater be more likely to ignite with less gas pressure?

Are there other possible suggestions that would fix this, beyond removing the dryer as the maintenance guy suggests?

Thanks in Advance,
