What about The Fairy? It is very healthy, generoous blooming, and can be trained as a mini-climber.

I would be reluctant to put in any plant that would grow too bushy. Instead of a rose (to me it seems too small for a rose) maybe a Mandevilla. Then again, that can be pretty bushy too.

I'd go with some sort of trailing/vining annual, something shallow-rooted that won't mind being in a container that size for a length of time. Nasturtiums, sweet peas? It's a cute container.

definitely not The Fairy... mine had to be repotted up from a 2 gallon container. There is an article somewhere in this site about the different types and sizes of minis, I know that some minis get big but others don't. A climber would be cute, though.

One of the Raymond Evison 'patio' sized clematis, such as 'Rhapsody' would work for a growing season. 10" is kind of a small pot for most roses and perennials. Mandevilla is a good idea too.
