Thanks everybody. The tree is about 30' from the house. If it ever falls eastward, it will in fact hit the house. We also have a lot of oaks and maples in the back which are very tall as well. Good point about the root system. I didn't think about that. Guess I'll just have to pray it makes it. Overall, it is a healthy tree. It just got whacked really badly this time. You should have seen me out in the blizzard with a long pole knocking the snow from the branches I could reach. Took a few "butt plants" and was "dumped on" a few times :), but it was worth it. None of the lower branches broke. As I said, I LOVE that tree. I'll call the County for an arborist recommendation prior to having it pruned. Thanks again for your help. Melanie

I use PhotoBucket, though there are other free photo storage websites available for use. Just locate the one you want to use, create a free account, and upload your pictures to your newly created photo album. There are tools you can use to resize pictures so they're not too big... some are still dependent on dial-up, and very large pictures take a long time to load and view. Once you have your pictures uploaded and sized, you would want to copy and then paste the HTML coding for the desired picture here, in the body of the text message. If you choose PhotoBucket, that would be the 3rd option under each picture. You would choose HTML. For some reason, I have to use the Control+C keys to copy photos, but pasting them is just a right click, and then paste. I hope this helps you somewhat. You need to upload the photos directly into the post. When you click into the "Write a comment" box a menu will appear below with a camera icon. When you click that you'll get a dialogue box that allows you to navigate to where the photos are on your computer. You can upload multiple photos into the one post. The uploaded photos will show up in your post before you submit, ie a preview without you having to request a preview.

Last week when the glitch started, I found that if I insert the pic first, then the text, then submit, it works. If I forget to do it in that order, I have to copy the text (if I don't want to type it over again), and refresh the page. Then insert the pic and paste the text, or type new comments. After submitting, I was able to edit the post to add another pic, but today that process isn't working every time. I've had no problem at all using the Houzz URLs. ETA, if I need to 'park' urls or a block of text, I open a thread in the test form so that I can go back to it without going to several different tabs. Then when my post is complete, I refresh the page in the test forum and it disappears. I could start a new thread in the same forum, different tab, but for some reason I go to tests--maybe because people aren't usually reading there, so if I submit in error, no big deal.
