Row Spacing With Drip Tape

I'm about to set up my new drip irrigation system in the vegetable garden, and was looking for some input on row spacing. My garden is about 35' x 42', and my plan is to run about eleven 40' long rows of drip tape perpendicularly off of a 35' supply line. Meaning the drip lines would be about 3' apart. The drip tape I purchased has .37 GPH @ 10 PSI drippers spaced 12" apart.

For my larger plants like tomatoes, squash, and cabbage, I thought I'd plant a single row of plants down a single drip line. And for the narrower veggies like corn, beans, carrots and beets, the plan is to plant two rows per drip line, one on each side to maximize space.

So, first off, are there any problems with this layout? And second, how far away from the drip line can I plant if I'm putting a row on each side? I don't want to be so far away that the water doesn't reach the plant. But, I don't want to crowd them either.

Thanks for the advice,

Ben
